Itโs time to introduce some other faces you may see in the clinic. This is Sharna, youโll most likely see her face when one of the regular girls are away as she is one of our locus vet nurses. Sharna graduated BOP Poly with her cert in vet nursing in 2014 and works in various clinics. She also runs wild whiskers tauranga and dog sits
Now you should all recognise this face! This is Keith! Keith is our vet and youโll nearly always see him unless on a rare occasion where heโs taken a day off. He has been a vet for 37 years working both in NZ and the UK. Keith has owned Cameron Road Vet Clinic for 24 years now. You also may see the little black dog Zoe ... she is Keithโs dog and hangs out with us in the clinic during work hours ๐
Itโs that time of the week! This week weโre introducing Laura. Most of you will probably recognise this face as Laura has been with us for 6 years now but had half of 2018 and the first half of this year off to have and raise her little boy. Laura is now back with us part time working Wednesdayโs and thursdays, mainly working behind the scenes as practice manager but still getting her animal cuddles and client chats in where she can ๐ youโll also catch her every other Saturday as all nurses take it in turns to work the Saturday ๐๐ผ
Next weโd like to introduce Michaela. You would have all met Michaela as she has been apart of our team for about 3 years since graduating from Wintec with her diploma in veterinary nursing. When sheโs not nursing sheโs with her baby (pictured below) or out hiking! She has some pretty awesome nursing trips overseas lined up too!

KEEP YOUR PET SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN
As you prepare for Halloween tonight, a night filled with trick or treating and fun, remember to keep an eye on your furry friend!
Here are some top Halloween safety tips:
1. Keep lollies and sweets out of reach - There will be plenty of sweet treats around for Halloween so make sure to keep them safely away from your pet. If your dog has eaten chocolate make sure to contact your local vet straight away.
2. Keep your pets contained - There will be a lot of people walking around the neighbourhood, and this may cause you pet to get overexcited or spooked โ especially combined with scary Halloween costumes. Make sure your pet is safely contained in your garden and home, and ensure they are wearing a collar or form of identification.
3. Keep your pet calm - Having so many people coming up and knocking on your door may become stressful for your pet. Have some strategies in place to help keep them calm โ keeping them away from trick or treaters may just do the trick.
4. Dressing up your pet - While dressing up your pet for Halloween may seem like a great idea, many animal welfare charities including SPCA have cautioned that dressing up your pets may not always be as fun for the animals involved.
