These raca rams are so cool. I hunted at the ranch they are in. They also have elk, bison, and other exotics. These rams are $1500.

Had fun this week visiting and working with my friend Chris up in Canada this week. I got to mount or help with a lot of things I don’t usually get to see like birds of prey, cool habitats, wolves, and also got to mount normal things like deer, ducks, and other things. It was fun for both of us seeing how we mounted things differently from each other. I think we both came away with a few extra tips and techniques. For me the water scenes were cool.

If I were to put together a package to offer for people who wanted to hunt in Africa with the outfitter I used, what five animals would you be interested in? The most common animals would include: Blesbok, springbuck, kudu, gemsbok, warthog, wildebeest, impala, and zebra. escalated which of these animals would be most appealing to you and did I leave anything off your bucket list? Would you rather get five of these animals for $4000, or seven of these animals for $5000? Tell me your thoughts.

This is my friend Paulowhom I went with to Africa three years ago. I keep thinking I’ll go back but every year something comes up. Paulo goes every year and puts together a spectacular trip. If you have ever wanted to hunt in Africa, I his is the best person to help you. Let me know if you want more information for this year or next and I’ll pass on some information.

Finished up a nice Axis deer. They sure make pretty mounts. I was fortunate enough to take one from the same ranch a few days later and hope to mount it this summer when I catch up with customers’ mounts.

Taxidermy is not always as glamorous as you might think. I just spent a half an hour convincing sheriffs deputies that I didn’t kill anyone and having them search through my yard and shop because the neighbor saw my worker and me unloading a cooler from the truck, that had a little blood on it.the truck was backed all the way up against the gate so I don’t even know how someone could’ve seen it. Even after I showed them the cooler, my shop with animals all over it, and all the paperwork and texts from the customer, they wanted me to pull it out of the freezer and open the bag. It’s a horse so I told them it’s too heavy and bloody, but they’re welcome to do it themselves as long as they can Rebag it for me.that’s when they decided they were satisfied.

I got some nice deer in this year. These animals were brought in October: The pig was taken from Clay Avila/Frontera Hunting. The trout was from a lake in Mammoth.
