Belvieu Food Village

Belvieu Food Village was started in 2011 by Karlene Long with the intention of creating a safe farm space where the community can grow, learn, get fresh, local, natural chemical free produce. Karlene wants Belvieu Food Village to become a place where all community members are welcome to learn and reap the benefits of the garden. Karlene sells her natural/chemical-free grown produce at the Pimilico

Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 9 AM - 2 PM. She eventually would like to have an on-site farm stand where the produce grown at Belvieu Food Village can be sold. You can offer your support by volunteering on Tuesdays from 6pm - 8pm to work on the farm. On select Thursdays from 6pm - 8pm Karlene will be hosting a Healthy Happy Hour where there will be a workshop/class/lecture or demo as well as some refreshing beverages.
