Its that time of the year folks, 4th of July and Fireworks are just around the corner. Be sure to secure your Dogs and other pets is a safe place away from seeing and hearing fireworks. It can be in the basement, or any room in the house suing a crate. IF camping and fireworks will be present, Board your dog in a safe facility. You have 364 other days of the year to show off your dog. This is especially critical with a young pup. NOTHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN! Put them away, they will thank you for it.

This is Reina and Stella. Their owners drive 6 hrs round trip just so they can stay here at Rockwood Kennels while they go on vacation. One if 3 families we have from the Chicago area that drive to Baraboo, drop off the dogs and then return home. Then make the trip again once they return home. Rather humbling knowing they go the extra miles so their dogs can stay with us.

Just a friendly reminder, with the 4th of July quickly approaching, remember to put your dogs in a safe place during the fireworks shows. A safe place can be a crate in the basement of your house, in a crate with a draped blanket over it in your car or truck, or in a reputable Kennel. I see all kinds of vests and snake oils that advertise they will keep your dog calm during fireworks, problem is, you don`t know if they work or not until it is too late. Play it safe and your dog will appreciate it, and we won`t be looking for your dog on July 5th. Remember, when taking your dog or dogs to fireworks shows, NOTHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN! Have a safe and fun filled 4th of July.

For anyone who has been here since Feb 13, chances are you either seen Gracie, for heard her( more likely) we got her returned back to her owners Tom and Carol in Gulf Shores AL.
We arranged transport for Gracie and she was delivered without a hitch.
When we say we are a Full Service Kennel, we back it up.

Rockwood Kennels will be closed for business Dec 13th and 14th. Maintenance and cleaning and disinfecting the Kennel. We strive to maintain a clean and safe place for our customers dogs at all times. With Winter coming, it is a good time for us to clean and disinfect all the individual kennels and runs before the Holidays. Side note: We are currently full through Jan 2nd 2023 and not taking any reservations during the Holidays. However you can still book for your 2023 Boarding needs and I urge everyone to make your reservations early for Spring Break and Easter as we will be full at that time also. Thank You. Lee

This is Luma, a Korean Jindo. Just one of the rarer breeds that Boards here. Very nice little dog about 25-30 lbs. Very playful and energetic, and very pretty. I am returning her to her family in Madison today.
