After what happened tonight. I will be changing my hours for my dogsitting. Unless we talk about it first, there is no more dropping off or picking up after 8:30/9pm.

Back story- I had a potential new client, who messaged me Sunday wanting to drop off her dogs Tuesday for me to watch for quite some time, didn’t want to do a meet and greet first, as she lives an hour away, as I’ve never met the dogs, changed her plans and said she can’t drop off on Tuesday anymore, which is no problem, so she messaged me today about dropping off, I said I would be home all day and she said she’ll message me when she’s on her way, I didn’t hear anything all day until she asked if she could drop off at 9pm, i politely told her no, she can not drop off that late as I don’t know the dogs and it takes awhile for dogs to acclimate to a new environment,

She promptly showed up to my house at 10pm going to the front door and the back door knocking on the door to drop off her dog, my mom went out there to tell her “I’m not home” as she was acting alittle crazy (per what I was told) and demanded we take her dogs as she has a flight to catch at 5am, crying and yelling at my mom, proceeded to sit outside my house blocking my neighbors driveway for 20 minutes.

Yes apparently she did try to call me a few times, but I don’t recieve calls off my Business page through my phone, and so it never rang to tell me she called, I also told her I’m not good at answering phone calls with how busy I get during the day and how long my house gets sometimes, I also have major anxiety talking on the phone.

I pride myself on being flexible for my clients as most facilities don’t allow that kind of flexibility for owners, but when you get clients like this, it makes it hard to be flexible and not put limits on things 😪😪😪😪

Also, the worst thing you can do is show up to my house unannounced and late at night.

I feel bad for this situation and apparently bad communication going on or something, but it makes me having to change things up so it doesn’t happen in the future.

My mom moved in!
She just had surgery today on her ankle! So I’ll be helping taking care of her for a few weeks, which means I might have to limit the amount of dogs I have!
