We love it when our patients enjoy coming to our clinics whether it is during normal business hours or after. Mowgli and their mum was out for a walk and were walking by our Charlestown Location, and Mowgli would not move unless he was able to say hi to the team. Thanks for stopping by Mowgli!

At Boston Veterinary Clinic, we want to minimize fear, anxiety and stress for your little ones to the best that we can; you might notice that we utilize species specific pheromone sprays in our clinics.

Thunderease for Canines and Feliway for Felines are both pheromone diffusers designed to help reduce stress and anxiety in dogs and cats, respectively.

Thunderease uses a synthetic version of the calming pheromones that mother dogs produce to soothe their puppies. It’s intended to help with various stress-related issues like separation anxiety, loud noises, or changes in the environment.

Feliway mimics the facial pheromones that cats use to mark their territory as safe and familiar. This can help reduce stress and anxiety caused by changes in the environment, new pets, or other stressors.

Soup was in excellent hands with Lead Technician David for a Laser Therapy appointment at our Charlestown Location. Soup learned that they enjoy baby food being the first time having it; they didn't even notice the laser therapy! What a brave boy!

Laser therapy is great for encouraging healing, blood flow and circulation as well as a relaxant for the muscles; perfect for patients experiencing orthopedic concerns, arthritis as well as wound healing. The United States under the CDC has placed additional regulations for dogs returning or entering the U.S. after August 1, 2024. Once the new rules go into effect, all travelers will need to apply for an import permit to return to the U.S. with their dogs, regardless of where they are
coming from.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
• Please note that BVC requires at least 30 DAYS notice for international travel, with 60 days being
ideal, depending on the destination country.
• Patients should have a 15 digit ISO microchip implanted and be current/up to date on a rabies vaccination in the past 11 months as a minimum
requirement for international travel.
• The fee for International Travel Documentation has been increased to $525.00. This incorporates all certificates, airline forms, USDA submissions, USDA
Rabies Certification, guidance on re-entry, and more.
• Any additional services that your pet might need in order to travel, such as lab tests or parasite treatments, have additional fees. We will provide a detailed treatment plan and timeline of services that
meets your pet’s needs and travel plans.

Travel Documentation process started!
