It is with the very heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to our dear, dear friend Oscar. He was a very special man who touched the lives of countless people and horses. He never met a stranger, and in fact, if he had five minutes of your time, he could fill you in on everything you ever wanted to know about the world of horses. He was the loving and proud owner of Sweetpea and Swift, (although he called every horse in the barn his own.)

He always said that the day he crossed into the pearly gates of heaven, he would reunite with every horse that had passed before him. I can say with certainty that today is a good day for those horses.

Our hearts, our family, and our farm will never be the same without him. I know if I sit quietly enough, I will hear him singing Red River Valley into the ears of our horses. Our lives are better because he was in it. May his beautiful soul be at rest and may he watch over his beloved family, friends, horses, and farm.
