This unfortunately is the only picture I have of my training many many years ago.
This was the PFS Chicago crew!
My first Vunak seminar and was blown away by his skill. G**o Dion sold me on the arts when we first met.
At that time my arms where swoll as you can see he asked me to through a punch at him he then punched my bicep ( Guntnag) and my arm went numb for a sec and then I had a knot on my arm for a few days.
That was such an enlighting experience.
G**o Riccardo exposed me to so much. He had taken me to the old Windy City Boxing Gym, DegerbergAcademy where I saw Muay Thai for the first time and met Ajarn Chai. Then of course G**o Dan Inosanto.
The guy in this picture never would’ve imagined the journey that he was placed on and the knowledge and exposure to a greater world was ahead.

I tried all day to keep especially busy today. But when I got home I just broke down. Today is my mom’s birthday. She passed away suddenly in January 2020.
My whole world turned upside down everything changed.
I am still picking up the pieces from that.
I miss you mom every single day.
Things have been very challenging lately I still find myself searching for your words of wisdom that always got me back on task.
I hope your forever resting place keeps you at peace.
No minute no second goes by without me thinking of you.
All the work we where working on I promise you I will finish.
I will make you proud one day even though your not here.
Happy Birthday Mom Bam Bam and I Love You.

It’s been a long few months going to doctors getting tests etc. outside of a few small tweaks all is good.
Had a very small procedure yesterday and all is good.
I wanted to thank you everyone who gave me support during these past few months.
I am recouping from yesterday with my homie today.
Time continue my journey with all instructors and students!

I was just watching the news on the resolve of Ukrainian people against Russia and it reminded me of what it takes to succeed. The resolve that is needed not only to develop yourself but also to develop others around you. As a lifelong martial artist, fighter, educator, weightlifter I always felt the best way is to be the example. I have always strived for self growth not only for my own personal, physical, spiritual and mental well-being but to be that example for my students, friends and anybody else that I may encounter. For me martial arts is not just a skill set Martial Arts is a way of life.  I have been given, through the various instructors I have had, this un-quenchable desire to keep pressing forward no matter what challenges, obstacles may come my way. I have learned to welcome these challenges and while I times I have failed I still keep pressing forward. Haters are gonna hate, doubters are going to doubt but if you believe in yourself and in whatever higher being you look up to you will succeed. If there is one thing I humbly can teach to people it is to keep going and never give up.

It has been 2 years since my mothers passing I still miss her just as much as the day she left. Each and every moment I push myself to continue on the path she sacrificed so much to put me on. Things get tough with my arm surgery trying to maintain my mental health along with spiritual and physical. However, I think of her when I get down and remember all her motivation and love.
