We are still trying to fill a second kennel assistant position at Pavillion. We offer benefits, good starting salary and a good work environment. Any applicants MUST be mature, responsible and trustworthy. No experience needed, we can train. Come in and fill out an application. The chosen candidates can start immediately.
Santa made a quick stop in Pavillion today, and managed to locate a few staff members who had not been naughty. The rest of us took our lump of coal and slunk away. Maybe next year!!
We have a pretty , long haired cat at the clinic that we have been unable to locate any owners. She is young, likely 1-2 years old, no microchip. She is sweet. If you recognize her, or know someone who might be interested in adopting her, please contact us at Pavillion.
We are excited to be able to offer a new treatment for arthritis pain in dogs. Librela is an injection that can be given once monthly. It acts by blocking a source of pain in joints, giving relief without the necessity of additional medications. It can be used in dogs with other medical conditions, and on any medications. Many dogs are able to come off arthritis medications altogether. I have included a link to two videos showing dogs who have significant improvement after one or two injections. Please call us with any questions about Librela. We also have the version for cats called Solensia. It is given once monthly as well.

So the award for the smallest dental patient goes to teeny, tiny Tucker. Bigger than a gerbil, smaller than a guinea pig. Perfectly content in our smallest cat bed. He sailed through his anesthesia with flying colors, and has a set of pearly whites to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner!
Gracie, the magnificent Bernese baby, says " TGIF!!" We could not agree more. Happy weekend everyone!

Warning! Sometimes our job can be challenging. This apparently mild-mannered feline could turn on a dime and become a ruthless savage. Fortunately, this is Dr. K's cat, Annie, so the worst thing that Jessica faces is an aggressive head butting :)
We sadly lost our beloved Stubby this past weekend. He was a fixture at the clinic for many years. So many clients and especially their children would ask where he was whenever they came to visit. He was a sweet old man and a gentle old soul. We loved him dearly and will miss seeing his sweet face.

Well, we nearly had to shut down the clinic this morning when this little doll showed up for her appointment. All of the techs and doctors could not get enough of little Frankie! We finally had to drag ourselves away to get back to work. Welcome to the family Frankie!!!

The absolutely best parts of our days are the new puppy and kitten visits. Today, Bodhi the magnificent baby Boxer, was my highlight!
This is the very sad face of Theo. Just a few minutes prior to this picture, he was at home happily eating some chocolate covered raisins that he had discovered. Unfortunately for him, they can be toxic, so we were forced to make him vomit up his looted treasure. Poor sad puppy. They were so good going down. :(
This sweet young boy was found running loose and brought to the clinic today. He does not have a microchip or a collar. He appears to be about 6-8 months old. Please help us find where he belongs!
Just a reminder about the risks of the high heat we will all be facing this week, and likely most of the summer. Make sure you limit your dogs time outside. Breeds that are at exceptional risk for heat stroke are those with short noses, such as Bulldogs, Frenchies and Pugs. The pavement will be very hot and can injure your pets feet and cause significant burns. Take your walks early in the morning, or later evening. Keep lots of fresh water available, and consider placing a dish of water outside for the birds and squirrels. Remember: no pets left in cars, EVER. Stay cool everyone!!

Sara has a new tiny tot to cart around the clinic. He spent his entire day with us being handed off from one eager staff member to the next. Always a bright spot to see the littles!
We want to let you know about a new treatment for arthritic cats. Solensia is an injection that can be given once a month to block the pain that is originating from those arthritic joints. It is not an anti-inflammatory, which can be problematic in older cats. It works by blocking a substance called nerve growth factor which generates some of the pain signalling. It is safe for cats with other medical conditions such as kidney disease that are common in older cats. Call us if you have any questions about whether Solensia may be helpful for your older kitty.
