Please consider supporting the rescue effort of EIGHT DOGS DUMPED near the Valley View TX TORNADO SITE. GoFundMe LINK IN BIO.

We are asking for your help with the rescue effort of 8 dogs found in one of the worst-hit areas destroyed by the 5/25/24 tornado in Valley View, TX. There are SO MANY displaced dogs from this disaster. And the story of these 8 takes a heart-breaking twist when we learned some heartless person dumped these dogs out of their car and drove off — leaving them all behind on the road. No food. No water. No concern for them at all. Who does that? This area is already low on resources. Local shelters and veterinary hospitals have been stretched to the limit and are unable to take more dogs. Thankfully, Rescue Row (an NPO from Little Elm, TX) has stepped up to help foster some of them and will provide all 8 with vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and medication, food, and more. But it does cost them finances and resources.
.
.
Your gift can help cover those costs! All $ raised will go 100% to Rescue Row to cover their costs for this rescue effort. Any overage will also go to Rescue Row and be used to help other dogs in need.

Thank you for considering a donation to this important cause.

GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING: NOT APPROPRIATE FOR ALL VIEWERS.
We often get asked by potential clients if we will train their dog to walk with them off leash. The answer is always no — for reasons like what happened in this video.
.
.
What took place in this video could have been avoided if BOTH owners had their dogs properly leashed. It is easy to blame the pitbull and its owner (who clearly wasn’t holding the leash and showed little to no sense of urgency to grab the leash or dog prior to the attack). However, the little dog was allowed to roam free off leash and left unattended. Neither dog owner thought this would happen that day but both took risks not worth taking.
.
.
Off leash work should only be done in a controlled environment and only with a dog and owner who BOTH have been properly trained.

Dogs don’t become better when we merely take them on walks, teach them tricks, and correct them when they do something “bad”. They become better when we love them enough to lead them. #jpdogtraining
Luka has more work to do but growing in his confidence and trust a little each day. Reactive dogs are often fearful and anxious dogs. #jpdogtraining
Working with Luka and his anxiety. He needs to learn to think differently so he can handle things differently. #jpdogtraining

Hard to believe this girl took over 200 days to catch! Her life was filled with abuse and neglect. Now look at her! She and Samson are best buds. So many people made this possible and we are forever grateful. Love having her part of our pack.
Our trail cam picked up video of these two trespassers. They came by 3 times within last couple of days. Our big boy Samson had been barking outside with a little more intensity and vigilance recently -- now we know why! Guess we will be supervising their outdoor breaks for a while. #coyotes #texas #protectwhatyoulove
