I started my job today. We went to Church. There were some strange noises like an organ and clapping but I was OK. Kahu was very happy and said “I am going to make it!”

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until Tuesday. Let me save them some time - there is a extreme heat advisory for West Texas, South Texas, South Central Texas and Southeast Texas until 12:00am October first.

I got neutered today. I don’t know what that means, but I went to sleep and lost most of the day. The people were really nice and everyone wanted to meet me.

Last night Logan kept pacing and insisting on going outside. I let him out only to see that Meghan had gotten out of the house. I would have never known had this boy not let me know “the flock” wasn’t all accounted for.

I don’t like thunderstorms. I can sense them 2-4 hours away. Kahu got me CBD gummies and I feel much better.

I went to Wal-Mart today to work on public access. I do good. Kahu said I recovered nicely and that is a good thing for a service dog

Today was my first day at work. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. Kahu said that was OK. She said Reveille didn’t know what to do her first year on the job either.

Kahu put the cortisol scent tin her pocket. I didn’t see her do it. When she walked past, I smelled it and jumped to tell her!

Kahu said I am going to start public access. She said that means I get to go a lot of places with her. Tomorrow we are going to Allen Honda. I hope I do well.

I did my first cortisol spike alert! It was not a drill. Kahu didn’t know what I was doing, but I was persistent. She said I was the bestest dog and almost ready for public access!

Kahu and I went to Barnes and Noble. It smelled like paper. We went to Starbucks. They asked if I could have a Pup Cup. She said “No. He needs a ‘Best Boy’ cup.” She got a slice of cheesecake for her birthday. It was good.

Kahu talked to her dog training friends. They told her how to teach me my most important job! They have trained competition dogs, police dogs, bomb detection dogs, drug dogs and search and rescue dogs. They know how to help.
