Tomorrow Saturday January 13th we will have limited staff on site. Due to illness we will NOT have a doctor on site for appointments. We will be open regular hours (9 - 1) to allow for boarding pick up and drop off. You may also pick up food, prescriptions and we will have Technicians here for basic services. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We have been helping families back to back who are facing financial difficulties with their sick pets.

14 year old Pepper hasn't been feeling herself. Pepper has had a loss of appetite. She is dehydrated and has bloody stool.

Thanks to our good friends at Dearborn Animal Hospital, Pepper received IV fluids, and we are waiting on test results.

It is clear that Pepper has been loved for a very long time. We are happy to help keep them together by providing the necessary vet care.

Thank you to our good friend Sherri with Blessing Bags of Warmth for providing the transport.

We all team together to make lives better. Thank you, donors.

Today we have special behind the scenes peek at our veterinary assistants! Did you know that our assistants and technicians are some of the hardest working staff members you’ll ever meet? Not only are they in your exam room to meet you and assess your pet! When they aren’t in your room, you’d find them collecting and testing samples, monitoring equipment, filling prescriptions, cleaning and stocking equipment, taking x-rays, answering emails/phone calls, and so much more. But perhaps the most important thing they do is provide care and comfort to your pets throughout their whole visit at Dearborn! 💕🐶🐱🐾

Our September Pet of the Month is: Manzur!

Here’s his story- told by his mom! “This is Manzur! He was adopted from LifeLine in 2017 and Dearborn has since been his vet of choice! Thanks to an angel volunteer at LifeLine, Manzur barely escaped the dreaded "date" and found his purfect family. He was a shy boy for the first 6 months, but his charming, loving and loyal personality soon emerged. His family likes to travel and Manzur is their dutiful travel companion. He has been all over the US (his favorite place is Alaska) and likes to think he charms people as an ambassador for big-headed dogs. He loves taking short walks, going to the dog park, sleeping, getting kisses, and most of all - eating. Manzur is a fashionista and always wears a bowtie (a southern gentleman always wears a bowtie) and frequently can be found wearing a cute outfit with shoes, frequently matching his family. Manzur loves his Dearborn family and wouldn't go anywhere else.” 🎀🐾

This month we’d like to introduce you to: Odie!

Odie was nominated by one of our staff members for our August Pet of the Month! Here’s Odie’s story- told by his mom! “Odie is a 1–year-old Shih Tzu who was found as a stray dog and then later adopted from a rescue group by us. Our senior dogs had just died right before meeting Odie. He has brought so much love and joy in a time we needed it most. His favorite things are cuddling, giving kisses, and playing with toys. We are hoping to continue training and become a certified therapy dog in the coming year. Odie absolutely adores being treated like a king by everyone at Dearborn—especially Dr. Holmes” 👑🐾
