Our next session of Fresh Start for Rescue Dogs begins on Wednesday, May 1.

This class is for those who have a new-to-you, older dog who possibly came through a Rescue or Humane Society or may have arrived via “a friend of a friend.” These dogs will benefit from an initial basic obedience class but are too old for our Puppy Classes and not quite ready for the Beginning Obedience Group class.

The next sessions for our initial Odor Detections classes are beginning on Tuesday, April 29th and have a few spaces available.

• 101 – Mental Enrichment with Odor - - Learn how to play the game (1 space)
• 201 – Odor Next Steps - - Learn to find and alert on the competition Odors (3 spaces)

Both of these classes are 6-wks long and a fun way to improve your relationship with your dog.

These classes are appropriate for dogs and humans of all ages and abilities.

This is a great class to learn the foundational skills needed for Dog Shows. Such as:
• Holding Stacks Longer
• Body Handling
• Love going in their Crate
• What to do if you Drop the Lead
• Ring Games

The next edition of our Snake Avoidance Workshop, UnChase! Snakes, is coming up on April 26th.

The workshop is 3 hours on Saturday afternoon and teaches the baseline skills for avoiding snakes. You and your dog will learn a Snake-Specific Recall and a Snake-Specific Alert, all with positive-reinforcement methods.

The workshop is repeated each month-ish. Choose the one that best fits your schedule and needs.

Once you’ve completed the Workshop, there are subsequent Coaching Sessions with fresh snake odor to help your dog to generalize their new skills.

The next sessions for two of our Puppy Obedience Classes are starting soon. These are great classes to begin the work of raising well-mannered, confident puppies.

• Puppy Kindergarten – for the youngest puppies (9wks~4mos) – Thursdays, 6:15pm – begins April 17 (2 spaces available)
• Puppy Prep School – for slightly older puppies (4~8mos) – Wednesdays, 5pm – begins April 30 (6 spaces available)

Q: Would your dog enjoy learning some new tricks? A: We think they would.

Join us for our fun Tricks class starting on Thursday, April 10th.

This 6-wks class will help you level-up your dog’s obedience skills, by making it fun.

At the end of the class, you and your dog will have the opportunity to take the AKC Tricks Dog Evaluation and have a shiny new Title to add to their name.

Sometimes our students tell us they want to focus on specific skills. This is where our series of shorter Life Skills classes come from… including our very popular, Polite Greetings.

• Does your dog rush up to people or other dogs?
• Does your dog rush to and bark at the door when the bell rings?
• Does your dog jump on people, especially their favorite people, when saying hello?
• Do you find yourself yelling out “He’s friendly!!” when your dog sees other people or dogs?

Our Polite Greetings class is the place to learn how to perform these interactions in a safer, more comfortable way for everyone involved.
