Did you miss our last Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Preparation Class?

If so, you’re in luck! Our next session begins on Tuesday, October 28th.

This 6-wk class is timed so that your dog can have a shiny new title in time for the December Holidays… and prepares you for the 10-element test given on the last week.

If you choose to attach the title to your dog’s name, there is a separate application and fee sent to AKC.

Does your dog have some Reactivity you’d like help working through?

Whether it is with people or other dogs, we can help.

Our Reactive Rover class is 4 weeks and limited to 4 students. This class is conducted in a quiet and predictable environment for you and your dog to learn and practice better skills.

Due to popular demand, we have added a second session beginning on Sunday, November 2nd. This session is at 8:30-9:30am.

Join us for our next fun Tricks class starting on Thursday, November 6th.

This 6-wks class will help you level-up your dog’s obedience skills, by making it a fun game.

Each session is different since we help you teach your dog the tricks that you want to work on. At the end of the class, you and your dog will have the opportunity to take the AKC Tricks Dog Evaluation.

All Levels, Breeds, and Mixes are welcome in this class.

We are offering both of our Canine Good Citizen Preparation Classes beginning in October.

• CGC Prep Class begins on Tuesday, October 28th, 6:15-7:15pm.

• And if your dog is ready for the next level, our CGC Advanced (CGC-A) and Urban (CGC-U) Prep Class begins on Sunday, October 12th, noon.

• Both classes are 6 weeks long.
• Both classes prepare you for the 10-element test for each title.
• Both classes include the evaluation by an AKC CGC Evaluator.

Our next edition of Introduction to Conformation Competition (Conformation 101) begins on Saturday and has a few spaces available.

If you are interested in learning how to exhibit your dog in Conformation Events and aren’t sure how to start, we will have you ready to participate in Dog Shows by Thanksgiving!

This class is open to 4H Students as well as those who do not yet have a purebred dog.

This 6-wk class is taught by Judy Walton who has owned and shown Whippets and Ibizan Hounds for decades. Judy has several champions, group wins, group placements, and a Top 20 to her name. All as an owner-handler!

Each week will have both a presentation/discussion and practice with your dog.

Topics covered:
• Ring Procedure,
• How to find and enter competitions,
• What to expect while you are there,
• Team work with your dog, and
• How to hold the lead. 😊

This workshop is invaluable for all of us who spend time hiking and exploring with our dogs. September is the perfect time to take this course as you can practice over the winter while snakes are hibernating and your dog will be fully equipped by next spring.
