Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance

Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance GRRALL is a Golden Retriever rescue based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. We are committed Over 95% of all GRRALL expenses are for veterinary care.

Without regard to age, medical condition, or cost of care, GRRALL accepts Golden Retrievers and “Golden hearted” mixes in need of rescue. Many times, the care of these animals runs into the thousands of dollars. For example, a healthy dog that comes from an area shelter can cost the organization $650 before they become available for adoption. They are held in isolation for several days to prevent

the spread of contagious disease, receive routine vaccinations, a full medical evaluation to ensure they are healthy, and spay/neuter surgery. Dogs with more serious medical needs (i.e. heartworm disease, kennel cough, internal parasites, distemper, etc.) require more funding. GRRALL’s anticipated expenses for 2017 will exceed $150,000 dollars. GRRALL has rescued over 640 deserving animals since inception in 2010. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and 100% of all donations go toward caring for these deserving dogs and finding them a permanent, loving forever home. All GRRALL staff are unpaid volunteers. GRRALL serves the Dallas-Fort Worth/North Texas area. We do not adopt outside this region and do not ship dogs. If you are out of our area please contact your local Golden Retriever rescue, local independent adoption groups, shelters, humane society, or other group to find your perfect forever friend.

🐾ADOPTED🐾
Polo-Male-2 years old-GRRALL #818

Polo is a 2-year-old male rescued from a shelter with a broken leg. He is being monitored by an orthopedic specialist and will be ready for adoption early December.

Polo is ALL puppy in personality and energy. He is very active and wants to play so badly (although at this time he has to be on a leash to allow his leg to fully heal). He is an absolute love bug and likes to be next to his human. He gets along fabulously with his canine foster sister and would love a dog pal in his forever home. His fosters have been working with him on things typical for his age, including jumping, mouthing, and counter surfing. His forever family will need to continue training to help him learn human manners.

Because of his size and jumping, we do not recommend him for older adults, very young children, or anyone who may not be able to handle his weight. Cats are a no go for this guy as well.

If you are interested in adopting Polo or any GRRALL dog, please read our FAQs (https://grralliance.org/faq/) and submit an application at https://grralliance.org/applications/adoption-application/

Our 2017 results include 81 intakes, 65 adoptions, the average cost per intake was $1,345, and the full year of vet expenses was $101,370.

Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance, Inc. (GRRALL) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing permanent, loving forever homes for homeless, neglected and abandoned golden retrievers and “Golden Hearted” mixes who need our help. As with any non-profit organization, GRRALL relies on your generous support to continue our operations. While we do collect adoption fees from new adoptions, this typically covers only one-third of the average expenses for each dog rescued and extraordinary expenses can be considerably more. Contributions from caring people like you must make up the rest. Your contributions provide for the medical care, rehabilitation, and placement of these wonderful animals in their new forever homes. GRRALL serves the Dallas-Fort Worth/North Texas area. We do not adopt outside this region and do not ship dogs. If you are out of our area please contact your local Golden Retriever rescue, local independent adoption groups, shelters, humane society, or other group to find your perfect forever friend.
