Our Story

"The Best Job in Town"

Harris Parkway Animal Hospital provides extra attention to the emotional bond between you and your special pet. While we focus on wellness, medical care, surgery, and dentistry, we pay close attention to your pet's specific needs.

I began to fall in love with veterinary medicine in my early high school years. We had cats and dogs in our house when I was growing up, and our veterinarian's office was always an amazing place for me. I can still remember the wonderful sights, smells and sounds of the office, as well as the huge smile that was always on my veterinarian's face. That smile told me that he thought he had the best job in town. He was kind enough to let me work for him for most of my high school years, and by the time I left for college, I was hooked. This may just be the best job in town.

I remember the day that I was accepted to Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine as one the best days of my life. In veterinary school, I began to learn how to piece together clues, and bits of information, that would tell me what was wrong with the animal that was in front of me. They couldn't talk to me to help guide my thinking. Following clues and applying my medical knowledge has always been exciting for me. Watching someone's precious pet recover from a surgery or illness, because our doctors and staff did their jobs that day, is an amazing feeling. Why wouldn't anyone be excited by a day like that?
