I read something awhile back that has really stuck with me…went something like this…🐶❤️🐾
Our fur babes are in our world for a short time (too short of a time in my opinion!) As for our fur babes WE are their WORLD for their entire time!
Smacks ya right in the heart that does! Take the extra time for that ear rub or belly scratch, take them on that adventure you’ve been wanting to, get off your ass and go for that walk, snuggle a little longer….and remember they choose you, every day…whatever your mood…they choose YOU!
I count my blessing every day and God knows these two are high on that list!

This picture is of Camberley Kate, who was well known in Camberley as the lady who would wander the streets with her “stray dogs” cart and gather up all the waifs and strays. It is said that during her life she rescued and gave a loving home to over 600 homeless dogs.
Today, I’m honouring this inspirational lady who devoted her life to saving dogs. And what a legacy she did leave behind, and to all the animals, we must be kind.

New class got in yesterday. Looking at the temperatures this up coming week and preparing our game plan. PLEASE be careful. Heat injuries happen very quickly and can be deadly. Check surface temperatures before walking on them, stay hydrated, know the signs of heat stress/stroke.

Jerome Horwitz, famous for playing CURLY in "THE THREE STOOGES", was known to all as a protector of dogs. Curly's contract with Columbia Pictures included a clause that allowed his dogs to accompany him on the studio lot. Columbia limited it to no more than two dogs at a time, this due to the puppies' unplanned on-camera appearances from time to time. You can still see those surprise dog on set invasions in the first few short films. Typically surrounded by various dogs, Curly was known to come home with a stray dog ​​and foster it until he could find it a permanent home. When the Stooges were out on the road, Curly took it upon himself to find a new home for at least one stray dog ​​in every town they visited. Curly is estimated to have saved and rescued more than 5,000 dogs in his lifetime. This makes him a man ahead of his time, with a very admirable concern for man's best friend. Dogs are family ❤

Summer is right around the corner! Please please please watch your dogs while outside. If you need to hose off their paws, stomach and back, do it! Whatever you need to do to keep your dog cool during hot days.
