Do you know the difference between the ‘wait’ and ‘stay’ command?

Wait is used as boundary training which means the dog is taught he can do anything he wants as long as he stays behind the boundary line.

Stay is saying that I want you to stay in the exact spot and position until I release you. This can be in the sit, down, or stand position.

Good afternoon! I have a few openings on Saturdays and Sundays for force free obedience training. Sessions are 1 hour and are personalized for each dog. Sessions can be both days or just once a week, depending on your needs. The first step to training a dog is getting to know the dog and owners in their everyday environment. I offer a mandatory free meet and greet with you and your dog. We will discuss many aspects of your dogs care, routine, behaviors and so forth so I can get an idea of how to proceed. There is a form that can be filled out ahead of time or as we are conducting the meet and greet!
