Rescue Ju**ie, Inc is a 501 (c) (3) animal rescue organization. All donations are tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds are used to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip and provide foster and veterinary care for our rescue animals. Many of our rescue animals have pre-existing medical conditions such as heartworms and issues relating to malnourishment, etc. We find loving forever homes for our dogs

& cats and provide support to our adopters to assure all animals will acclimate and thrive in their new homes.

This is short legged, long on personality and affection Astro. He’s the longest inmate here at St John’s County Pet center at 130 N Stratton Rd in St Augustine. phone 904-209-6190- and is in urgent need of rescue! He can’t help it that he’s a bit on the reactive side when he sees other dogs! He just wants to check them out- he’s a dog, after all! He will be so loyal and true- only 4.5 years old- the cuddlyest couch buddy ever. Come adopt and truly SAVE a life!

UPDATE - Jelly Bean was not a good fit with her new adoptiv family, and is again available for adoption at PetSmart on US 1.

Hello, I am a sleepy little Jelly Bean today. When I’m active I’m very active and when I’m sleepy, I’m very sleepy. I am a happy, upbeat girl kitten that’s eight weeks old. I really enjoy wand toys. Well, I’m independent I’m also very affectionate too. I have very unique fur- not your run of the mill calico!

My ID number is 73979 and I’ve been available for adoption since July 20, 2024. I was brought in as a stray with my sibling Mars. I’m an eight week old kitten that is soon to be spayed. UPDATE - Twizzler has been ADOPTED!

Hi there, I’m Twizzler! I am an eight week old kitten, a neutered male, brought in as a stray with my siblings, Sun and Pluto. One would think that Pluto would be the most outgoing of us all, but it is me! I am approachable, and you can easily put me and pick me up. I’m a little more trusting than my siblings, but still also getting used to humans I enjoy treats, and I’m quick to let you pet me after you give me some. My fur is very soft and slightly long. The volunteers seem to think I was quite a wise little kitten - She seem to think I had street savvy, as well as a compassionate nature. As you can see, on a handsome boy, looking for love in all the right places!

I was made available for adoption on July 1, 2024, and my ID number is 73667. For more photos and information, please see the comments below. I’m currently located at Saint Johns animal control, 130 North Stratton Dr. in Saint Augustine Florida. UPDATE - Amber has been adopted!!

Hi, I’m Amber! My beautiful, green eyes belie my bewilderment at being here. When the volunteer opened my cage door, I backed myself into a corner and kept my beautiful eyes on her. I was trembling with fright and tried to hide it. She slowly blinked at me and spoke softly, giving me treats, and I came out of my corner to partake of them. Softly, and rather cutely, according to the volunteer, I. gave soft rumbles as I ate them. Looking up at her for more, I let her come close, and give me a gentle stroke on the forehead. Once she petted me, I knew everything was going to be OK. I so needed her touch. Loving pets are like healing salve to me. Once I was touched, I gave my immediate purring, and openness to love. I still want to love and be loved again very soon.

This girl is a perfect companion! Sweet, polite, lower energy, calm, and friendly. Mrs. Doubtfire appreciates attention and affection. Her favorite thing to do is to climb up on the picnic table to relax and watch the world go by. If you are looking for a peaceful pet -- Mrs. Doubtfire is the one for you! Our groomer reports that she was excellent during the bath and enjoyed the process! She is listed in the age category of 2 - 6 years and weighs 46 lb.
