Cooper has made great leaps in his confidence. He sits on the cough with us, and he wants to be pet often. He's incredibly sweet and playful. After the new year Cooper will be ready for a forever home.

Tiny is back to himself after having seizures during the hurricane. We're thrilled that this little guy is still with us. 🙂

Tiny (17 yrs old) has had three seizures since the worst part of the hurricane hit and when the barometric pressure was at its lowest. We're getting good medical advice and, he's been given medication. We're keeping his temperature down, and keeping him comfortable.

Tiny is a little snuggle butt. 😍 This 16 year old boy is still going strong. He sleeps as much as a cat, but when he's awake, he's a little pistol.

Tiny is blind and deaf. We've discovered he truly enjoys sniffing the outside air and sunning himself. We take him outside often. He also loves snuggling and eating.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - Cooper is a sweet dog who loves to run and play. He especially loves to play in the water hose and sprinkler. Cooper needs a home with a yard where he can run and play. He enjoys hanging out inside with his family as much as he enjoys the outdoors.

Cooper is a sensitive dog. He likes people with calm energy. He does well with the people and dogs he lives with. Cooper's foster mom takes him and his sister to the dog park. He plays and runs with his sister. Cooper interacts a little with dogs his size. He's afraid of big dogs, but he's getting used to them.

Cooper's Background:

Cooper was rescued from a hoarding situation less than two years ago along with 25 other dogs. Some of the dogs, including Cooper had limited contact experience with people. They distrusted and feared people. Cooper and one of his sisters went to live in the same foster home. They became fast friends.
Cooper grew to trust his foster parents and to overcome many fears. He developed strong bonds with his foster family, especially his foster mom. Cooper still has trust issues, and he's still working through some fears. Cooper needs someone who will be patient with him. It will take him a while to trust someone new. Playing with him is a great way to connect with him and to start building trust.

Cooper and Mandy now get excited when we pull into the dog park. They used to be so afraid. This was the first time they jumped in the tub to play and cool off.

UPDATE! Great news! Tiny has not gone into renal failure. His blood work kidney readings have actually improved due to a kidney supplement named AminAvast.

Tiny has an inflamed mouth and his white blood cell count is high as a result, but he's going to be just fine. Thank God, and thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts! 💕

Mandy got a new giggle ball. She plays with her giggle ball throughout the day, every day. Mandy loves toys more than any dog I've ever seen.

Sweet Tiny. He sleeps a lot. That's understandable for an old man who's also deaf and blind. Throughout the day, we hold him, give him lots of kisses, and keep him close to give him as much human contact possible. He likes the outdoors where he can sniff the air and the ground. His joys in life are snuggling, butt and ear scratches, and food. We've fallen in love with Tiny. ❤️

Mandy is doing well on her nightly walks. She still struggles with fear of children rushing up to her and bypassing cars, but she's doing better every day.

We want to make sure that the person who adopts her can comfortably walk her and take her to public places, such as to vet appointments and the park.

Our hearts are breaking. We lost little Riley today. 😭 His kidneys and heart were shutting down, and his body temperature dropped significantly. 😢 He had been living with congestive heart failure and kidney disease, and he did amazing well for 11 months. Riley was with us for nearly 2 years. His last chapter in life was very happy. He was 16 years old. We will miss him greatly.

Tiny is blind and deaf. When he came to us he was skinny, depressed, and his terminally ill brother and constant companion died within two weeks.

I'm happy to report that Tiny is doing quite well. He eats well, and he has bonded with us.

We spend a lot of time holding him. He doesn't want to be alone, understandably. We recently took him with us on a camping trip where he enjoyed the many new smells.

This is a picture of Tiny with our neighbors. The girls love petting our foster dogs.

Jasper is very sweet and affectionate. He loves his foster family, and he does well with calm dogs, especially small dogs. He was buddies with the small dog he was raised with.

Jasper's vaccinations were recently updated. He tested negative for Feline Leukemia, and he's microchipped and neutered.

Jasper has a brother named Jaime. They are litter mates. We'd like for them to be adopted together, but it's not required. Both were adopted through our rescue as kittens, which means we have their baby pictures! Their owner surrendered them as adult cats due to her medical issues.
