The Capital Humane Society is a non-profit organization with a goal of uniting animals and families.

We offer adoptions, education and training to help foster a love of animals and a lifetime of companionship. In addition to serving the community, Capital Humane Society provides a variety of opportunities! The staff works diligently to reunite lost animals with pet owners. We also want to create a successful and long lasting relationship when it comes to adding a pet to your home. For your conven

ience, all dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets are given a health examination, spayed or neutered and given a series of vaccinations prior to entering the adoption program. An active volunteer program offers a variety of things that individuals can help with. Volunteers help with the socialization of animals, the Pet Assisted Therapy Program, as well as giving tours and presentations to school age children and civic groups.

🐰 CRITTER FANATICS (and non-critter fanatics!), we have the best bunny for you! His name is Energizer and he loves attention. He literally buzzes when you pet him and he gives tiny kisses. Did you know bunnies can free-roam in your home as long as they are litter-box trained and all stairways are blocked and chords covered?
