Ernie spotlight!

He earned his “Farm Dog Good Boy” award yesterday.

I was out doing chores…and my little shi$hed **ahem** handsome up and coming rooster Frederick decided to get fresh with me. While balancing chicken feed, I attempted to fend this little gem off during his attack while on the way to the storage shed. Ernie quickly stepped in, put Frederick in his place but didn’t give chase, he turned around and sat down looking at me. Basically saying “was I a good boy mom?”

Yes, good boy Ernald. You earned another official farm hand point today buddy.

A couple of our hens have bumblefoot…so into “surgical bay 1” they go for treatment. Sugar thinks it calls for extra treats. They will be good as new in no time. 😷🐓

We have a new member of the Ohaska Family. Meet Petunia!

She is a 2.5 year old sow we added to our breeding program. She will be our first momma here on the farm, we plan on setting up a blind date with Rough mid winter for spring piglets!
