Pup Luv Family! PLEASE! Introduce your new puppy to the grooming process at 6 to 8 weeks old! It is easier to desensitized them to the process! We work with tools that can be scary! And the older they are, 4 to 6 months, the worst it is for them! And a good groomer, will be labeled a bad groomer because the pup had a bad experience simply because the pooch wasn't introduced to the process early! Most groomers are sensitive to a new pups not being mixed in with other pups, so have a conversation with them! And, my fellow Vet friends, who recommend they wait til after the series of puppy shots are complete, LET'S WORK TOGETHER! I worked, as a groomer in a Vet office for 21 years and our recommendation was always earlier is better!!! ESPECIALLY if you have a large breed! I CANNOT EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!
