Wellness Month: Joint Supplements
As March comes to a close, so does our month-long focus on pet joint health. Our last video in the joint wellness series features Dr. Sharon Golden, Dr. Sarah Lochner, and Brady Hubbard of Golden Veterinary Care in Wayzata, MN, as well as Ken Bradel and Celia Gee of Vetique in Chicago, IL.
All 5 veterinary professionals discuss how joint supplements, along with exercise and weight management, are an effective tool for setting up our animals for long-term success.
They also weigh in on their favorite aspects of Rejensa joint care chews. Common themes include that dogs love it, which increases compliance, clients notice results quickly, and it's easily accessible.
Chris Walker on Auto DX Alerts
Chris Walker, Hospital Manager at Loop 410 Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, TX, has over 25 years experience in the veterinary industry. He and his team hold themselves to high standards, and with that, clients have come to expect the very best care. Meeting those expectations is demanding on staff, so Chris is always on the hunt for ways to free up valuable team time.
When he heard about Auto DX alerts, a technology which automatically deploys negative fecal and heartworm test results so teams don’t have to contact clients manually, he was “all in.”
Hear more from Chris in this video, and head to bit.ly/AutoDXAlerts for additional details.
Playing with Puppies at Can Do Canines

These 5-week-old puppies are under the excellent care of the Can Do Canines team at their WAG (Whelping and Growth) center in New Germany, Minnesota. Wellness Month: Focus on Osteoarthritis
In our latest #WellnessMonth video, we're focusing in on Osteoarthritis (OA).
You'll hear from Dr. Sharon Golden of Golden Veterinary Care, who is particularly passionate about addressing the orthopedic needs of her patients and helping clients understand what all of their options are.
You'll also hear from Ken Bradel of Vetique, who is excited about the mobility success their clinic’s older patients are seeing through combining unique types of therapy such as chiropractic, acupuncture, and laser therapy.

Trends in Rehabilitative Therapy
As our focus on pet wellness this month continues, Dr. Jennifer Vitucci, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and Professional Services Veterinarian with Zomedica, shares high level trends she has observed in rehabilitative therapy.
Chief among those trends, is how many more providers are offering rehabilitative therapy, how many more clients looking for it, and the variety of modalities, therapies, and specialties that have emerged.
Dr. Vitucci offers a deeper look at one particularly unique noninvasive modality that harnesses sound energy to initiate a body's own healing process: shockwave therapy.
The Role of Client Education in Pet Joint Health
Our month-long focus on pet wellness continues! There are many factors that contribute to a pet's joint health, but every vet industry pro we spoke with agreed: client education is a huge factor in helping pets live longer, healthier lives.
When clients are willing to listen and engage in conversations where vet teams share things like what behavioral signs to watch for at home, what types of therapy options are available, which supplements to consider, and the role of diet and exercise, huge strides can be made.
In this new video, team members from Vetique in Chicago, IL and Golden Veterinary Care in Wayzata, MN share their takes on the link between client education + joint health and wellness.
Dentistry expert Dr. Naomi Hoyer talks #PetDentalHealthMonth
Assistant Professor of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at Colorado State University Naomi Hoyer, DVM, was a general practitioner for 10 years before deciding to make the move to specialize exclusively in dentistry.
In this video, Dr. Hoyer shares her favorite parts about specializing in dentistry, how to use #PetDentalHealthMonth to showcase clinic success stories and increase owner buy-in, how to empower the next generation of veterinarians through dental-specific education opportunities, and even why she might be "out of a job" if annual dental procedures were perceived more like annual vaccine visits...

From decreasing burnout and fatigue, to increasing versatility and team reliability, Tonya and Mikayla elaborate in this new video.
