Brass Tacks Ranch is a family friendly boarding facility conveniently located 30 minutes from downtown Tulsa, Ok with easy highway access and just 15 minutes to the Keystone or Heyburn lake trails. We offer full pasture boarding for $250/ month. This price includes hay in the winter and supplemental feeding 2x daily as needed (owner provides grain). We have seven separate pastures ranging from 3-7 acres each. Outside horses are limited to ensure plentiful grazing and a peaceful atmosphere for you to enjoy. Amenities include several ponds, run in sheds, tack storage, round pen, area for flatwork (soon to be kept tilled) , an obstacle course, beautiful, wooded trails and picnic shelter with a burn pit. Currently we will have three openings due to a longtime boarder moving out of state.
All horses must be up to date on core vaccinations and have a current negative coggins test. If interested, please contact Mandie at 918 210 3096

Last week we took another road trip to the BLM off site corral at the Hutchison Correctional Center, for another saddle started gelding. We came home with a beautiful buckskin gelding and a little stowaway :) who could resist those ears!

I greatly appreciate having a well lit barn with a wide alley way that enables me to drive our trailer straight through. I do this routinely during the day, but it’s taken me three years to figure out how handy this could be at night.
Side note these lights are all solar powered :)

As I was reading one of my Craig Cameron training books this morning I ran across this statement “Correction is good, but encouragement is better” A simple little statement with profound implications and lifelong application. I thought it fitting to find this picture from a few years ago of my good friend Holly doing what she does best. Giving riders the confidence to encourage their horses to do new and scary things. Horses teach us so much, but mostly I think they teach us to be better humans if we just listen.
