It is with a lump in our throats and tears in our eyes that Joe Joe’s Place has officially closed our doors to new and incoming animals.

Our last 11 years have been an amazing journey. We started this rescue to honor the memory of Joey Lloyd. In the end, we hope we have achieved our goal.

We were able to survive the pandemic physically however, mentally and monetarily we just couldn’t. We relied on donations and our in-person fundraisers. During the pandemic, we were forced to go from 10 fundraisers per year to only 2.

Unfortunately we just can’t continue like that. We will of course, still be caring for the senior and special needs dogs in our care.

We have met incredible dogs, had wonderful rescue partners, as well as fabulous adopters, donors and volunteers. We cherish the memories we share together.

Thank you for the support of our little rescue over the years.

Who could resist this smile?!? Toby is a 14 month old Welsh Corgi looking for his furever family. Toby LOVES people and other dogs. JJP rescued him from a situation he didn’t deserve 😔. He is in foster care where he is learning some of the basics and happy to have a warm bed! Toby loves burning energy in the yard or on a long walk. He does great on the leash!

We have been contacted to rescue this sweet 14 month old Welsh Corgi, but we have no foster homes available! Who’s ready to open their home and give Toby the chance at a better life. Joe Joe’s place provides all supplies.

Our sweet boy, Jose, is looking for his furever family. Jose is a handsome 7 month old beagle mix (beagle, collie, boxer according to his sisters DNA test!). He was adopted back in August, but his owner has since been displaced. Jose is back with a JJP foster and hoping to meet his new family soon! He is full of puppy energy which may be a little too much for children under 3. A fenced yard would be the perfect place for Jose to run and play. He loves other dogs!

How cool is this?!? Miss Pearl actually had a DNA done while she was with her adoptive family. She is 25% beagle, 25% border collie, 25% boxer, 12.5% bulldog and 12.5% grouped (herding, terrier, companion) so that equals 100% CUTE!!

Our sweet little Pearl is back with her foster family and they are so happy to have her! Pearl had a little too much puppy energy for the small children in her adoptive family, but that is why JJP keeps an open door with adoptions. We always want the best fit for our pups ❤️
