🌸 Receiving flowers is a kind gesture to some and a tasty treat to another.

Lemurs are folivores which means they eat all sorts of foliage, flowers included. Kato (left) and Kellan (right) love getting fresh flowers to snack on.

Happy World Lion Day! Visit Asani, Ilola, Tadala, JaKiya, and Kiota today!

Over the last 50 years, lion populations in Africa have declined by 75% with only 21,000 individuals remaining. Rangers across the continent lead the hard work of reducing conflict with people and lions so that this species can be saved. Roosevelt Park Zoo is proud to partner with the AZA SAFE African Lion Program and support the Wildlife Ranger Challenge.
