Today we said goodbye to one of the best teachers Sunny Stables has ever known. PJ was one of the first horses to start our lesson program! He was so many firsts for a a lot of students. He was a solid lesson, show & trail master. For the last several years he was just a retired companion that enjoyed his days with his girlfriend Camille. We will forever be grateful for the lessons he taught & the hearts he touched! Rest easy old man & I hope Molly was waiting on you at those pearly gates 🤎🤍💔

On August 24th, we traveled to the Keezlenutten Farm Horse Show! The riders and horses all had a stellar day, bringing home several championships, reserve championships and other top placings! We couldn't possibly be prouder of the hard work and commitment of our whole team! Thank you to the Keezlenutten Crew for another great show and a fun day spent with friends and family!

On August 10th, we traveled to Breezy Rock Stables for their Battle of the Barns Horse Show! The riders and horses had a very successful day, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the weekend! A HUGE thank you to Brett Glass, his family, and his incredible staff for the hospitality and an amazing show experience!

Sunny Stables Advanced Camp is always the highlight of the summer, and this year was no exception! From a 1.3 mile long XC course, to some very entertaining games, and even a seafood feast, this camp had it all!

The last month has been nonstop here at Sunny Stables! We are going to begin posting pictures from all the events we have hosted or attended over the last few weeks!

We will start with our Battle of the Barns Horse Show, held at Sunny Stables on July 27th! We had a great day and appreciate all those who attended and helped to make this event a huge success! Also, a very special THANK YOU to Scarlett Reel for a fantastic job judging the show!

We wrapped up our Jr Horse Camp and it was an absolute hoot! The kiddos had a blast riding, crafting, playing games, and learning how to take care of the horses! Thanks for joining us!

Sunny Stables third camp of the summer was a huge success, with a large group of talented young riders in attendance! The campers enjoyed a variety of activities, including riding, crafting, and swimming, while also receiving top-notch instruction in equine education! We are forever grateful for our team of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that these camps continue to be a memorable experience for all involved!

With the cold weather outside, we decided it was the perfect time to spread a little sunshine!!

In 2023, The Elizabeth Ann Whitelaw Memorial Scholarship was able to send EVERY SINGLE applicant to Sunny Stables Summer Horse Camp!! Thanks to your generous donations, 7 deserving and hard working area youth could enjoy camp at absolutely no cost!!
We are proud to offer these scholarships every summer as a way to honor Elizabeth's memory and share her endless love for horses and the outdoors with other young people! We sincerely thank all of those who graciously support this program each year!
