If you suspect that a charity is engaged in unethical or unlawful activity, then we encourage you to report that information to the government authorities that are responsible for regulating nonprofits.

At the federal level, nonprofit regulation resides in the hands of the IRS. The IRS website offers instructions for filing a complaint about a nonprofit by either:

submitting your concerns in writing by email ([email protected]) or by regular mail (IRS EO Classification, Mail Code 4910, 1100 Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75242)

or by completing Form 13909, the Tax-Exempt Organization Complaint (Referral) Form.

Please welcome these nine animals to TCAS from the investigation in Colin County. These babies are happy and healthy and will be available for adoption this week.

Apollo Support & Rescue for Abandoned Dogs

This baby is a senior Lab...
He was kept in AA's hellhole outside 24/7 😞
Luckily he is now with a foster with Apollo Rescue. He is a lucky one 💔

This is Baloo, this is where he was rescued from looking defeated They did not even know his name. He saw the vet today and has severe bladder infection, severe ear infection, and coccidia, hook worms and whip worms. Pending Senior panel blood work done as well, which will show results of heartworms or Tick disease as well as general health. He is on his way to getting better. Update: two dogs have tested HW negative! Wooh!! 🎉🎉 we will hopefully be able to go get more dogs this weekend. Thank you everyone for the help and support!!!

While The Colony Animal Services strives to protect the safety and well being of animals in The Colony, we always do our best to help outside the city when it is desperately needed.

If any of you have heard, there has been an investigation in Colin County. Dogs inside the home have been seized but some still remain on the property living outside. Someone reached out and asked if we could help. We are completely full but couldn’t say no to these sweet, loving, affectionate dogs.

Yesterday two of our staff members spent over 6 hours on the property evaluating dogs. They were able to bring 5 dogs back with them to help get them off the property. That may not be a lot, but considering we are a shelter, not a rescue, and are completely full already, it felt like a big difference.

Three of the dogs we picked up already found homes today and 2 remain with us, available for adoption; Ranger and Josie.

Unfortunately these dogs are coming up heartworm positive, which is not the end of the world. We will obviously treat them but it is a very costly treatment and we want to continue to go get more dogs as we get adoptions. Please consider donating to our medical fund so we can treat these babies and potentially save even more.

‼UPDATE ‼Apollo has taken in 6 dogs. I will post in a seperate post and list their needs. If anyone can help or foster please contact Dallas Doggrr who is helping lead these efforts. I will forward emails and mesaages on to them as well.

‼Emergency help needed‼
We are in dire need of fosters and other rescue organizations to step up. We need to come together for many dogs in need. Currently Apollo, 4 Fido (FB.com/Funding4Fido/) and Dallas Dogrrr are working together with SPCA.
SPCA has already seized over 100 from their double wide trailer. There are upwards of 80 dogs STILL living on the property in inhumane conditions.
There are way too many dogs to be properly maintained. The dogs are living in mud, f***s, and often without food or potable water.

They need us, they need a miracle. We are currently trying to make the living conditions better as we try to place the dogs, but they really need to be moved immediately, and NOT returned to property.

They describe the TERRIBLE CONDITION of these innocent animals. It is heartbreaking 💔
The SPCA could use donations to help care for these lucky ones who were able to leave the hell that is called 'Astasias Angels Rescue"

Highs of over 100° EVERYDAY...
These dogs live in HELL. NO WATER in some pens and other pens have black or green water. Now the weather is cold - and wet 😔
These are the dogs left behind by Collin County Sheriffs Department. The rescue started cleaning up the day this page was published over a week ago. It will not last.
These dogs see a human one time a week -
To get a bag of food cut open and thrown onto the ground in their pen. They do not get let out. No p**p is scooped. No love. 💔

We have heard many stories of dogs breaking out of their pens and killing other dogs (and a pig). A neighbors Great Pyrenees was killed by an escaped Astasia's Angels dog...
* The same pens the Collin County Sheriffs Dept deemed secure and safe and livable - which is why all outside dogs were left behind 😪
