Remember our goofy boy Rocky? 😍 Surrendered by his family through no fault of his own back in November 2023, this lovable smush quickly found his forever home—and it’s easy to see why! Who could resist that face?! 🥰

Rocky is now living his absolute best life! 🐕 While some say summer’s over, definitely not for Rocky and his new family! They’ve been soaking up the last rays of summer, lounging by the pool, and enjoying each other’s company. 🏖️🐾 Who could ask for more?

We’re thrilled to announce that our silliest paw-legged resident, Coco, has found his forever home! 🐾 This sweet little man came to us seeking a better life after his previous family could no longer care for him. Coco, who loved playing with squeaky toys, jumping on laps for kisses, and being one of our biggest cuddle bugs 🐶💙, can now do all that and more with his new family, surrounded by peace and forever love. 🏡❤️

We are beyond excited to share an amazing update on one of our beloved alumni, Mack—now known as Bob! 🎉 This 4-year-old superstar was adopted in 2020 during the pandemic and quickly became the light of his pawrent’s life. 🌟 After an immediate name change and a stylish grooming appointment post-neutering, Bob fully embraced his fabulous New York City life! 🐶🗽

Bob and his pawrent, Seth, have become inseparable, and it’s safe to say that Bob didn’t just find a home—he rescued Seth too, giving them a bond unlike anything they’d ever known. 💖 From cozy Manhattan days to exciting travels, Bob has been living his best life in style. He’s attended glamorous events, traveled to amazing places, and yes, he even convinced Seth to get him a Gucci bag for all his adventures. 👜✨

According to his pawrent, “He is the sweetest boy, and once he trusts you, he’s the most affectionate and loving pup.” 🥰

We are thrilled to share that one of the cutest little residents of our Atlas shelter, Teddy, found his forever home over the holiday weekend! 🏡✨ What a fantastic way to kick off the new month with such heartwarming news! 💖

Teddy came to us as a surrender because his previous family could no longer care for him due to time and work commitments. Wanting only the best for their beloved Teddy, they entrusted us to find him the perfect forever home—and we did just that! 🐾

Now, Teddy gets to enjoy the rest of his pup-life with his new parents, who absolutely fell in love with him at first sight! 🐶❤️ We couldn’t be happier for this sweet trio, and we wish them all the love, health, and happiness in the world! 🌟

💔 In Loving Memory of Potato 💔

In June of 2022, our rescue had the honor of finding a forever home for a sweet little Pug named Potato. Evelyn and Paule first saw Potato through a fundraiser aimed at covering her medical needs, and when they met her, it was love at first sight. 🐾❤️

According to her pawrents, “Potato possessed this superpower—she loved you instantly, and in return, everyone who met her fell deeply in love with her. She saw the universe as a good and safe place, full of love and kindness.” This beautiful perspective made her a cherished member of her new family and community. 🌟

Sadly, Potato’s journey came to an end on August 18th, when she lost her battle with an aggressive form of cancer. Her parents are heartbroken, but her legacy reminds us all that goodness and love still exist in this world. 💔

In honor of their beloved Potato, Evelyn and Paule made a generous donation to our rescue. We are deeply grateful for their support and inspired to continue our mission of rescuing more dogs like Potato, giving them the chance to find the same never-ending love and care. 🏡❤️

Thank you, Evelyn and Paule, for giving Potato the life she deserved and for helping us continue to save more lives. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her legacy will live on in the work we do every day. 🌈✨

Rusty is a rather chill guy who enjoys the simple pleasures in life. Our team, volunteers, and community all fell head over heels for her—how could they not? 😍 And, of course, it didn’t take long for Millie to find her perfect forever home! 🏡💖

🐾 Meet Rocky, Your Next Walking Partner! 🐾

Are you looking for a loyal walking buddy who will meet you at the door, ready for your next adventure? Look no further—Rocky is your guy! 🐕🚶‍♂️ This 2-year-old Wirehaired Terrier mix is a total sweetheart, full of enthusiasm and love. While he gets excited in new places, he’ll settle down and be the perfect companion. 💖

Rocky is curious about cats and might bark at them, but that’s just because they make him a little nervous. He’s content in his crate, where he rests quietly, and LOVES to be brushed—he’d choose pets over toys any day! 🐾🛁

Though Rocky isn’t fully house trained yet, with patience and continued training, he’ll get there! He prefers not to share his food with other dogs but has no problem letting us take it away. Ideally, he’d thrive as the only dog in the home or with a dedicated owner willing to work with a trainer if there’s another pup in the mix. We’re helping him along the way! 🏡✨

Two years ago, our sweet Bryson found his forever family and became Obi-Wan! 🐾

After patiently waiting with us, he melted the hearts of his new mom and dad—who knew the moment they saw him that he was theirs. ❤️

Now, Obi-Wan is living his best life! He loves playing with his older brother, Tribble, going on walks, and enjoying car ride adventures. 🚗🐕 When he’s not out exploring, you’ll find him lounging in the comfiest spot on the family’s couch, soaking up all the love.

His mom shares that Obi-Wan was shy at first and kept his distance from his dad, but now they’re inseparable! 🥰 The moment his dad walks through the door, Obi-Wan leaps into his lap. He’s also become a treat-catching master and loves spending quality time with his parents. “He is my shadow when we are home,” his mom says, “and we are so lucky to have him. He’s amazingly loving, cuddly, and has really blossomed. Now, he even enjoys visiting people and exploring new places. We adore him!”

Beautiful Roxy is an 8 1/2 year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who is searching for her forever home. She was adopted from us as a young pup but was returned because, sadly, her dad passed away and her mom was unable to care for her. She’s waiting for a home to call her own and, boy, will she make a great addition to your family! She is incredibly friendly, sweet, full of energy and fun to be with! She loves to run and play fetch, knows some commands and is house trained. This girl just LOVES children! She will actually run to them holding her favorite toy to see if they’d like to play with her! Our stunning Roxy enjoys long walks and walks well on leash. She loves attention and will flourish as the only pet in the household. She’s also content to sit by her person’s side and enjoy the company. Every once in a while she wouldn’t mind a belly scratch. Roxy is a favorite around the shelter. At times, her eyes are sad because she knows she belongs in a home and can’t understand why she’s being overlooked. Her face literally lights up when she’s shown attention. She can be somewhat reactive when she sees another dog but she can be redirected. She will do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can exercise and play with her family. This wonderful dog will give you a lifetime of unconditional love and is well worth getting to know. A phoenix symbolizes renewal and rebirth. That is our hope for this beautiful girl. She came to us in deplorable condition and was extremely frightened. We do not know what happened to her but we knew that she needed our help. She is currently in foster. Phoenix will need an adopter who will treat her gently and who has a good deal of patience and time to devote to her care. She is mostly house trained and will do best in a very quiet household without small children. She is very food motivated and loves resting outdoors. Oreo is a fun and outgoing Shih-Tzu who is looking for a new home, preferably with a yard and an owner who knows how to be the leader in the home. This will give Oreo the security he needs to be relaxed. He needs a patient person (or 2). He walks well on leash, as he loves to walk, and is good in the car. He has had training but could use more. He is described as a dog who enjoys time with his favorite people, but can become highly afraid of strangers (lunges, growls, may snap).
