Board-Certified Internist Dr. Derek Duval and his assistant, Christie, had the pleasure of meeting star patient Odie at Petfolk in Peachtree Corners. Odie holds a vital role as a school therapy dog in Atlanta, spreading comfort and joy wherever he goes! 🤩📚

Recently, Odie needed an abdominal ultrasound and proved to be a perfect 10/10 good boy. The team couldn't agree more: "He was simply the best. 5 stars - we'd choose his therapy any day!!"

Thank you to Dr. Holmes and the entire Petfolk of Peachtree Corners team for their invaluable partnership in caring for our furry friends. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon! 🤝🏻🐾

Our very own Dr. Vermeulen & Nicole had the wonderful opportunity to speak at a Charlotte preschool about being a veterinarian!

The kids were thrilled to see x-rays and play “guess that foreign body.” Each child brought their favorite stuffy, and we had a blast bandaging up their “wounds.” It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved!

Thank you to the preschool for having us and to the kids for their enthusiasm! Future veterinarians in the making. 🌟🐶🧸

Did you know pets can get skin cancer like humans? According to our friends at Petfolk, prolonged sun exposure, carcinogens, viral infections, and skin injuries are common causes. While 60%-80% of skin tumors in dogs are benign, it's important to regularly check your pet’s skin, limit sun exposure, and use pet-safe products.

Meet Pauli Mallard, originally from Chicago, IL, and a cherished member of our East Cobb, GA Petfolk team!

Pauli loves going to concerts, having backyard fun with friends and family, and traveling. The best part about Pauli’s position at Petfolk? Working with amazing people, pets, and diving into the science and math behind the scenes!

Pauli is a proud pet parent to two dogs: Gizelle Sapphire, Princess of Dragons, and Noel Azure, Empress of IV, as well as seven uniquely named cats!

Pauli’s passion for animals started young, volunteering and interning at zoos and aquariums. Discovering a love for veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant was life-changing. We’re grateful to have Pauli’s dedication and enthusiasm leading the East Cobb team as a Business Partner.

🐶 Where was Zircon adopted from? BlackJack Animal Rescue⁠
🐶 Why did you adopt Zircon? Moving to a new city, I wanted to have a pal to explore and stay active with.⁠
🐶 How did you pick Zircon’s name? The shelter named him. Zircon is Persian for “goldish color” - it’s also a unique name, so we kept it!⁠
🐶 What is your favorite thing about Zircon? He is the friendliest dog I’ve ever met - I’ve met a lot of new people because of him!⁠

Dr. Kate Snyder, a proud alumna of NCSU CVM, brings over a decade of experience as a primary care veterinarian in Apex, NC. Originally from the northeast, Kate settled in Holly Springs in 2006 with her son, Jay, and a lively crew of pets, led by their spirited American Staffordshire Terrier, Maisie.
