It was established in 2013 by a group of Temple University students who decided that they wanted to take up beekeeping after taking a class with Master Beekeeper Vincent Aloyo. After having assisted in taking care of Vince’s hives at the Temple Ambler Campus, we decided to establish our own apiary and in June of 2014 we purchased 4 nucleus hives from a local Pennsylvania beekeeper. Ever since then

, we have attended many conferences and local beekeeper meetings in hopes of furthering our knowledge of the craft.
