Well, the Celtic Cluster shows went quite well!! Actually, that's an understatement. On Wednesday, Bethany went WB and BOW for a 4 point major. On Thursday, Fenwick went WD and BOS over 10 male specials for a 5 point major. On Saturday, the day of the Specialty, Bethany again went WB for a 5 point major!!! What a week. To top it off, it was the first set of shows for both of them. At 7 months old, this was quite an achievement!!

Panache took the weekend off. Doggies chased frisbees and just hung out. Coursing next weekend!

Here is Elton with all his winnings. His Best of Breed ribbon (conformation), his first place ribbon/Best of Breed ribbon/Best In Field ribbon (lure trial). The BIF got him the bed and the basket filled with plants and dog treats, along with a decorative wooden bunny. Could not be prouder of this boy!!

This past weekend, Panache whippets headed up to Hanover for the Sighthound Spree (ASFA). We had a terrific weekend!

In Saturday's conformation, Elton went BOB and his sister, Venus, went BOS.

On Sunday, all 4 ran very well against some stiff competition. In Open, Seven came in 4th, in Field Champion, Elton tied for first, won the runoff and Venus came in 3rd. In Veterans, Lynesse came in 1st.

Elton got BOB, then went on to win Best In Field against 4 other dogs - a Ridgeback, a Saluki, an Ibizan, and a Windhound.

So proud of my crew and their coursing abilities!!

Last I posted on a regular basis, Lynesse had a wonderful litter, and I wound up keeping two of the puppies, Elton and Venus. They have been showing (a little) and lure coursing (a lot).

That said, the first title either of them attained was by Venus. We were at a show in Salem, VA last year, and they also had dock diving there. I signed them both up for practice sessions. Venus had no fear, and was jumping right in. Elton took a bit of coaxing, but eventually began to enjoy it. I decided to let them compete.

Elton, over the 4 days, almost finished his Dock Senior title, with only a couple more jumps to go. Venus attained a Dock Master title, jumping over 22' multiple times. Very proud of both of them, and look forward to doing it again, probably next year when we have the time.

I have been extremely remiss in posting about Panache Whippets. My apologies. Life kind of got in the way, and we have had many events happening that got me derailed.

I will do my best to get back to posting and keeping the page updated.
