Good morning! Our dogs are feeling extra special today as they received a very generous donation specifically for them! Thank you Moeller, Myers & Associates, PC for thinking of our dogs!

We are pretty sure our adoptable animals made the nice list this year! Hopefully Santa has our address 1701 Industrial Rd Rock Falls at the top of his list!

HELP! Do you recognize this dog? She is not microchipped, she is wearing a leopard print collar and looks well cared for! Found on English St of Yeowards Ville/ Rock Falls. We need to make contact with her owners right away as she is injured! Donations for her medical care are greatly appreciated! This can be done over the phone or in person.

How these 3 gentlemen are still here are beyond us! Jackson, Beans, and rice are our longest residents that are need an immediate transfer or adoption. Rice has a sponsored adoption! Quick reminder! Our office will be closed this Thursday & Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you have an emergency, please reach out to your local police department! Here is a very special update! Julius Caesar has been adopted by a representative of a RESCUE that specializes in his breed! We could not be happier for him! He will continue getting amazing care and live the life he deserves! Thank you all for helping our staff care for him; with out you we would not have been able to get him the vetting he needed for skin infections, scalding, and a benign tumor found under his horrible matting! Thank you🥰

YIP YIP BARKS AWAY! !!!ACE IS GOING HOME!!! Another after hours courtesy post! This handsome man came in from Ave J in Sterling. His microchip information only had his name "Ace" and that he was chipped at Lee County Animal Control but no forwarding information. Girls update! LONG story short. Both girls are back with the shelter they originally came from! Thank you all for your assistance and sharing! These 2 dogs are needing our communities help. While they are in our care we are calling them Tia & Tamera. They appear to be well fed and cared for. Tia Is deaf or partially deaf. These 2 are Inseparable. They are unique looking. Someone knows them. They were found in Erie. If they are not claimed they will be put up for adoption/transfer , but it is very unlikely they will get to go together.

Breaking Morning News! 4 dogs are on the way to new futures! There are more dogs waiting to be adopted or transferred!

Every dog has a story. Some stories pull on our hearts more than others. Columbus's story is one we will not soon forget. Now a happy new chapter has started for him! He has been adopted!

2 more of our dogs have been granted great gifts form a very generous donor! Fendi one of our longest residents has had her adoption fee paid for! The same donor met Rice and fell in love with his personality; his adoption fee has also been paid for! All they need now is an approved adopter to fall in love with them!

Another sad face hoping to be reunited with his family! He was found on York Rd off of Rt 92 near Tampico! He is very sad, scared, broken down. We are doing our best to cheer him up. We managed to get some snuggles and slight tail wag. If you know who his family is, please reach out!

Monday Morning Great News report! Marco Polo has started his new adventure with a new family!

I know, I know! We are WAY behind with our MUCH-needed update on our 3 special cases! Meya has had MANY adoption interests! Columbus is still hoping to meet some new families soon, and Marco Polo has a pending adoption! We could not be prouder of these dog's progress!

The weather is starting to look gloomy on the outside, but Alice's future is looking BRIGHT!

Our staff is feeling all warm and fuzzy with gratitude! We could not help the animals we do without our community! Thank you!

Do you remember seeing all of the posts about the Black and White Female Dog out on Hazel Road? Well, she is now here! It was believed she was to be dumped out in the area and has been out there for a few months. As this could be, we do believe she LIVES in the area and was making her rounds to the neighboring farms due to the fact 1) she is VERY oddly clean for having to be living out in the elements, and 2) She has a very good weight for a dog that would have been living in the elements. She is VERY sweet and sounds a bit like a dinosaur when she cries! We hope a family comes for her.
