Rain or shine Parkview is open! ☔️🌧️

We hope everyone is staying safe and managed well through the storm. The storm did bring in two baby squirrels that fell out of a tree and are now in the care of our staff member Skylar. As well as sisters Cebele and Whisper sporting their matching raincoats! 🐩🐩🐿️🐿️

We know everyone is outside enjoying the nice weather but don’t forget to BEE careful.
Just this week we’ve had two pups “Captain” and “Duke” that have both come in with allergic reactions to bee stings. Thankfully both patients are doing great! 🐾🐾

The most common trigger for secondary bacterial skin infections in dogs is allergic skin disease, caused by hypersensitivity to environmental allergens, food proteins, or parasites. The allergic process damages the protective skin barrier, which allows bacteria to grow and create infection.

Almost a year to the date we received 2 of 4 ditched puppies and only one survived. El was nourished back to health and is currently part of Dr Parra’s family. Yesterday this pup was dropped off at our doors malnourished, neglected, scared, recently pregnant, with a mouth full of dirt and a belly full of worms. We named her Twiggy, she is about 1.5 yrs old and she will be under our care until fully recovered and healthy.
