Did you know that today is National Holistic Pet Day? According to brothers Charles and George Merriam (of Merriam-Webster fame), "holistic" may be defined as "relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts." Holistic veterinary medicine tries to treat the whole animal rather than focusing on a single symptom.

In honor of National Holistic Pet Day, why not take your pooch for a nice walk after it cools down later tonight? Or make him a home-cooked meal? 🐾🌎🦊🌻
