With 30 plus years living and working with dogs, I would love to provide your furbaby with a loving, dog-savy home while you are away! I have spent my entire life with dogs of all sizes and varieties and my experience ranges from training and hobby dog sports, grooming, to rescue and rehabilitation. In addition to being the go to sitter for family and friend's, I've been an approved foster parent
for several years with local shelters. I've cared for everything from young puppies to dogs with special needs, both of the behavioral and medical type, to seniors needing extra love and care in their golden years. I've experienced it all! Regardless of the situation, every dog who stays with me becomes a beloved memebr of the family! As a dog mom myself, I know how important it is to make sure both your furbaby, and YOU, have a stress-free experience! I primarily work from home, with a large fully fenced front yard and an equally large fenced back yard for lots of outdoor time. Your dog is a full member of my household and will be able to choose from variety of beds, couches, rug spots, and laps to claim as their own. It is rare your furbay would ever be without human company for more than short periods, and never fully alone as my household consists of a menagerie of kiddos, of both the two and four legged variety! My human babies have crossed into preteen/teen world and are both great with dogs, having grow up with and participated in their care their entire life. My four legged babies include a tiny Chihuahua who thinks he's big, a 100 pound golden/collie mix who is probably more Newfy, and a cat who reigns over everyone. I incorporate your furbaby into my activities as much as possible, bringing them with me as appropriate and creating a routine for them from day one to minimize the stress of being away from you! Safety is my number one priority! Having shared my entire life with dogs I am good at listening to their cues and anticipating their needs. As a Foster parent I am use to bringing highly stressed dogs into my home with little previous knowledge of them, and making them feel as safe and secure as soon as possible. I use the same skills and techniques for your dog when they come to visit to ensure they feel safe and loved! I always make sure to read your profile and ask any needed follow up questions before confirming booking and am happy to provide meet and greets at my home or local park as well. I do my best to replicate the same routine and habits your furbaby has at home while they are here with me, and keep everyone in my home aware of any special needs to keep your dog safe. Every piece of information you share with me helps me build a picture of who your dog is and how I can best care for them. As a result of my rescue and foster parent work, I have extensive experience, and a love for, caring for both puppies (under 1 year), as well as multi-dog families, and have reflected that in my rates. Please also ask about extended (14+ day) stay rates as longer stays can be more stressful and I'm here to help!
