Happy Independence Week!🇺🇸Here are some tips to ensure your pet feels safe through this holiday’s fireworks shows:

•Animals are more sensitive to loud noises than humans, so they will be triggered by fireworks. Make sure they have a safe and quiet space where they can hide if they need to.

•Make sure your pet gets a lot of exercise on the day of the 4th- it is more likely they will be less scared if they are tired out.

•Try giving your pet clothes! A snug-fitting sweater or shirt can make them feel like they’re being hugged, calming them through the firework noises.

•If you know your pet gets very anxious and nothing seems to help them calm down, consult with a veterinarian for advice or a medication prescription that can soothe their stress.
