When: 11:15am-12:15pm; starting June 17th

What can you learn!?

In this 8 week course, training extends beyond the basic puppy class level with a deeper understanding of Heel, Sit, Sit/Stay, Down, Down/Stay, Recall & Finish, and Stand For Exam.

On Saturday Susan Zilbauer and Morty were High Combined and High Triple in Rally Obedience with a combined 298 out of 300

Megan Maholsic has been teaching agility since 2012. Her love for the sport is like no other and the way she teaches is so fun and easy to understand.

Megan, why do you like to teach?
“I enjoy watching teams develop and strengthen their relationships with their dogs.”

Accomplishments:

🐾30 agility championships across 4 different venues

🐾Qualified for AKC Nationals from 2013-2024

🐾Qualified for CPE Nationals 2023& 2024

🐾Multiple top placements at AKC Nationals preliminary rounds

🐾AKC NAC 2021 finalist and 3rd place in finals

🐾AKC NAC 2024 challenger round Qualifier

Megan has been competing/training in agility since she was 9 (competing and training for nearly 25 years)!

Sports that Megan currently does with her dogs:
Agility, fast cat, fitness, dabble in nosework, rally, obedience, and protection

We know how important it is for you to know the skills your instructor can pass on to you and your dog. Our job is to make sure you are comfortable with who you are working with! It is so important to know your instructors background. Do your research when picking ANY trainer for you and your pup! All of our instructors are highly qualified in their areas of teaching. They all have worked very hard to get where they are and they can’t wait to pass on all of their knowledge to you!

Kathy Galus is one of our newest instructors! She is also one of our board members.

Classes at WLTC: Nosework

Background:
Kathy has been involved in K9 detection training for 10 years.

Accomplishments include:

🐾Dual Purpose, search and rescue K9 certified by IPWDA in human remains detection for crime scene and water recovery.
🐾Certified by NYFEDSAR for area search (live find). One of only 3 K9s in NYS that have attained this level of certification.
🐾NACSW judge (National association of Canine Scent Work)
🐾Most titled Samoyed in Barn Hunt Association, RATCHX8

Fun fact about Kathy: “I have never watched any movie other than Pulp Fiction more than once.”
