To all of the followers, haters, stalkers, and bullies;

As of September 1st, 2022 we no longer provide any public updates on our current fosters, any community support we provide, or anything else we want to post. We already planned on shutting down and unfortunately didnt find placement within the timeframe we had agreed upon. We have determined that we have already posted everyone we need assistance with enough times that posting them over and over again won’t help. We are still actively looking for placement for everyone through private channels and will get everyone placed eventually.

We would have loved to continue providing updates, however cyberbullies have just made posting toxic instead of helpful. the toxicity of the rescue community spreads far and wide where the animals are not the cyber bullies priority, but their goal is to bully anyone they don’t like into submission. We have always put the animals well-being as our first priority and will continue doing this privately moving forward.

Thank you to everyone that has shared posts, lead us to an accepting rescue, or donated towards us for our fosters care.

-lots of love AHAC

Roxy has taken the longest to acclimate to the new environment out of the three elderly cats we have been caring for. She now frequently chats with us while we give her some much-deserved pets, this is of course when she decides to emerge from her hiding place. She has even been seen lounging around the home and hissing at the other cats just a little.

We’ve seen quite a few people requesting cat food and we’ve been told a lot of peeps don’t know about this brand.

If you are feeding your own kitties, ferals, outside kitties, or a colony this product is a good option as you can get 44 lbs for $26ish from Walmart or tractor supply.

It’s not the “top” tier cat food, however it’s still good enough to help a large amount of cats!

We purchase this and provide gallon baggies when we see people needing cat food.

This sweet and sensitive girl is named patches. If you recall from our last post she was adopted from Pima Animal Care Center, then abused by her homeless adopter. A Good Samaritan paid $50 for her and in the end she came to us.

The accepting rescue sent us an update and said that Patches has started to come out of her shell already. She enjoys cuddles and has a fascination for the water hose. She is on her way to finding a forever home that will continue showing her what it means to have the good life.

We are still actively raising funds to reach our $1,000 goal to pay down rescue debt. We are currently sitting at $285/$1,000 and if you can spare $1,$5,$10 all the pooches would appreciate it.

Thank you (Rescue name redacted) for taking not 1, not 2, not 3, but 5 total dogs today that were all in need of rescue.

The 4 chihuahua mixes all came from a home that was abandoned after it burned down. A kind samaritan took all 8 dogs that were alive off the property, however 2 sadly passed away before they were made aware of the need. They were in the process of getting everyone fixed, however due to program restraints it was a slow process for them. Out of the 8 dogs only 4 were in need of rescue as the others were friendly enough for private adoption. Our director provided free microchips for all the dogs to make sure if they get lost they could be reunited quickly (registered to the rescue also). Lil bit, big bit, croissant, and Biscuit we are so thankful we could be part of your journey to a better life and am so sorry that your beginning was neglect and abuse.

Khloe was a bit of a surprise as she was posted for free on CL and we asked (the rescue) if they’d like to take her, so we reached out to the owner and within an hour she was with us just in time to meet (the rescue) for transport/transfer. She is said to be afraid of everything including her shadow, however (the rescue) believes she just needs the right home to blossom into a beautiful senior girl. Khloe had been with her owners for over 5 years and was originally adopted from another rescue that closed its doors. The owners husband said that she had to get rid of Khloe because he was tired of a dog that didn’t like him.

While we aren’t taking in new animals we arent just going to ignore animals in need because we don’t personally have the funds to care for the animals LONG TERM, however we can hold an animal for another rescue just long enough for transport to be arranged.

Animal are our number 1 priority.

Hello followers, haters, stalkers, cronies, and everyone else.

This is Kaleb, the director, I wanted to come out and post this to dispell any misinformation and to provide my own side of what is happening.

Back in March, 2022 I had 2 visits from Animal Control Officers within a couple weeks of each other because of keyboard warriors filing unfounded animal control reports again me. The first officer came and said that everything looked decent and understood why certain things were done the way I did them. The first officer provided a few changes that would need to be made to be in compliance. The second officer did not like the way I did things and because it had only been 2 weeks since the last visit I didn’t have a chance to make the small changes I was asked to make. I get paid once a month and I can’t just go out and drop money without budgeting for it (if I can help it). The changes they wanted have cost me about $100 to implement.

The second officer issued a citation for three counts of “animal - no food” even though I did have food for everyone and plenty of it, but to avoid any further issues I signed the citation and went to court as this morning (missed last hearing due to medical issues) where they set me up for the next step of the process after I declined the prosecutors “plea deal” which was absolutely unreasonable considering I am not guilty of this.

Animal Control also showed up and attempted to intimidate me and said I needed to sign for more charges and if I didn’t they were going to call TPD to get me to sign the paperwork or get arrested. I did not sign the paperwork and TPD didn’t do anything, but watch me leave the building.

I am NOT perfect by any means and I’ve made many mistakes in the past with my own animals and fosters animals. EVERYONE makes mistakes with animals in their care and if you think you are perfect, then you need to take a step back and lower your own ego. EVERYONE has skeletons in their closet that they don’t want anyone to know about because if someone found out they’d be judged like I have been for months.

I am actively searching for permanent placement for all 6 fosters still in my rescues care and will under no circumstance place them in a shelter enviroment. I have multiple rescues searching for open foster placement and they have all offered assistance without belittling, harassing, targeting, or judging me.

The 2 photos of food were taken within the last month and I have more on my carport from a kind samaritan donating 100+ lbs of dog food and 50+ lbs of cat food (hard and soft).

For the entire nine years that Diesel lived, this lovable puppy was owned by a loving and caring family. Diesel came to the family as a little puppy and grew up to be a giant boy weighing more than 80 pounds. In order to protect her children and offer them a sense of normalcy in an unsettling situation, Diesel's mother did what she could for him and her family.

Diesel passed suddenly yesterday, and his mother had no idea what to do with his remains. Fortunately, our director came across the request for advice on one of the Tucson community groups. Nobody offered to come pick up the large guy; most folks just advised her to bury his remains or call animal control (and even they suggested she bury him).

Our director went to the owners home and assisted her in taking Diesels remains to the The Humane Society of Southern Arizona for cremation. If our director had not seen the post who knows what would have happened for the distraught owner.

Thank you Rescue Adoption Volunteers for accepting this cutie into your rescue.

Patches was originally adopted from Pima Animal Care Center by a homeless lady. A Good Samaritan saw the homeless lady mistreating patches and offered her $50 to surrender patches. The Good Samaritan cared for patches for many months and sadly had to surrender in the end due to a pending move across multiple states.

We were contacted in hopes we could give patches a soft landing before she goes off to the above rescue for a much needed decompression and a better suited home for her needs.

Today was the last day for our director to find placement for these 3 dogs. Unfortunately as of 2:30PM we have had no luck with this. We ask that you please share the original post or send to fellow rescue peeps to assist us with this.

Our director has advised us that we still have only raised $285/$1,000 that he wanted to pay down rescue debt. Now everyday that the fosters are housed with him he spends $7.50ish to feed them out of pocket.

This it party willing to cover the 3 senior kitties veterinary care, however she wants to attach a ultimatum that we only provide guidance to owners in need and never taken another animal into our directors home.

Offering assistance, but placing a ultimatum is not offering assistance but using tactics to get your way and in no way benefits the animals in the end. We are hoping that she has a change of heart and contacts ABC vaccine clinic to place a $225 credit on the rescues account to allow us to get the 3 senior kitties documented veterinary care.

We shall update as more information is commented or posted by Wendy.

Our senior kitties have transitioned from bathroom living to the big cat room at our directors home. Princess has found a great spot inside an unused dog kennel and Roxy has found a hiding spot in the big cat tree. Lucy unfortunately has gone into hiding and we couldn’t locate her for a photo op.

We are still actively looking for permanent placement for all three together or separately. All appear healthy and if we are able to raise $225 we can take them to ABC Vaccine Clinic for vaccines and SNAP testing.

If you know someone looking for a companion or want to share to get these cuties placed please do. If you want to donate please find our donation link in our about section.

🇱🇷HAPPY JULY AND SOON TO BE JULY 4th🇱🇷

We are 16 days away from our official shut down date and we need the communities help with finding placement for our remaining 3 fosters with either adopters or fosters in a different rescue. We had great luck placing 2 with Tucson's Cause for Canines and appreciate their assistance greatly.

If you know a rescue with an open foster home or want to become a foster for one of these cuties please feel free to reach out to us and we’ll gladly provide guidance.

We are also still clmbing the ladder towards our goal of $1,000 and currently have $275 raised to pay down our rescue debt!

If you’d like to donate you can follow our donation link: https://campsite.bio/ahac for multiple amazing options or message us for guidance.

Chloe somehow managed to get a minor wound, so this cute girl and her mother came over for a cone to stop her from chewing at it. When they arrived, our director quickly checked Chloe over to make sure there weren't any more problems that might have to be treated. When we saw the wound, it was clear that even though it appeared bad, if Chloe left it alone, it might heal soon. Additionally, we observed Chloe flaunting some very long, distinctly out-of-date nails. When our director asked the owner if she wanted him to clip the nails for her, she was shocked to hear that there was no cost.

While he searched among the cones to find one that fit just perfectly and cut each of her nails to ensure she could walk more easily, the director and the owner started talking. He discovered that Chloe was 15 years old, appeared to be in good health, but was picky about her kibble. The owner claimed that giving Chloe wet food would sometimes encourage her to eat, but it can get pricey. Fortunately for her, a large donation of wet food had been made, and our director made sure she had enough for Chloe to eat for the rest of her life. For Chloe, we also gave her some vetericyn, skin soother, and salmon oil. We provided a brief explanations on how to use the items provided.

At the end we let her know that if she needed any further assistance to reach out and not to feel bad that she couldn’t afford to “pay” us for what we did.

Thank you Tucson's Cause for Canines for taking these cuties in.

Pancho and Gordo came from the same house and will be kept together in their new foster home. Both of these boys will go to the accepting rescue vaccinated and microchipped to alleviate the climbing costs of vet care for this rescue.

This brings our fosters needing placement down to 3/5 allowing us to keep caring for the remaining fosters. We are still needing monetary donations as we are sitting at $225/$1,000 for our shut down fundraiser. If you can spare $1,$5,$10 any amount helps us.

06/15/2022

Update: We would love to get all 3 SNAP tested and vaccinated. For each cat it will be $75 through the vet office. We use ABC Vaccine clinic on Broadway. You can contact them directly to put donations on the account (under our rescues name) or donate to us through our donation link/PayPal donation link.

To all of our followers, stalkers, haters, and bullies we want to share something with you. (Especially a certain party named Wendy)

On June 5, 2022, at 7:00 PM, our director received a call from a distressed owner pleading for assistance on behalf of their three senior cats since they had no other options. They had spoken to the county shelter about turning in three senior cats, however the owner claims they never obtained a surrender appointment. The owner was forced to leave the house she had lived in for a number of years, together with the three cats and one elderly dog. To prevent the three cats from being abandoned in the wild, our director acted quickly and agreed to accept all three of them.

As soon as the cats were placed into our director's large bathroom, we contacted several other rescues about taking them in so we could get the cats out of our rescue as soon as possible. A number of texts, emails, and facebook messages informed us that we either had to pay large surrender fees or that they were fully occupied. Because we're in the PROCESS of closing down, we never planned to take in three senior cats, nevertheless we won't allow them to suffer or end up dead.

If you know of someone wanting to adopt or foster a senior cat please have them reach out to us on messenger or at 520-314-6974

Thank you Hope of Deliverance, Inc. for accepting this cutie into your rescue.

We have had Wiggles in our care since December of 2021 along with her brother (Dog). She was always a quirky girl and was really bonded to Dog which made it even harder when she had to be separated from him. She takes a bit to warm up to new people and a fantastic foster with decompression experience volunteered to help this girl land in her forever home. We will forever miss her and will always have a special place in our heart for her.

We are still raising funds to clear out some vet debt and are currently at $200/$1,000 needed to pay down a huge chunk. If you can donate please see our donation link posted to the top of our page. 🙂

This sweet old girl, Suri for Survivor, was in need of a safe place to stay, then transport to Rescue Adoption Volunteers for sanctuary or adoption. She came from a home up in Phoenix when the owner couldn’t continue to care for her. Unfortunately a lot of miscommunication happened and 2 of her siblings passed away before transport could be arranged.

We are so thankful we could step up to get this girl to an amazing, selfless rescue that is going to get her all the care she needs to live out her golden years.

Update 4: Gordo and Pancho have placed. Please continue sharing and help us with donations we really could use it. Thank you to our followers.

Update 3: we have all agreed that our official shut down date will be July 17th, 2022. Please continue sharing and helping all 6 dogs find placement before then. We want to avoid scheduling surrender appointments at shelters.

Update 2:

Yumi - black collie mix is fully vetted and can be adopted

Zuno - light tan lab mix is fully vetted and can be adopted

Ron - dark tan shar pei mix is fully vetted and can be adopted

Gordo - black terrier mix is neutered and will get vaccinated (can be adopted or transferred to a rescue)

Pancho - black/ white pit bull is vaccinated and will need to be neutered (can be adopted or transferred to a rescue)

Update: $200/$1,000 has been raised! Please continue sharing and donating to allow us to lower debt and continue caring for the 6 fosters!

With a heavy heart we have some bad news for our followers. We have tried very hard over the months to build an organization that helped owners in need and assisted rescues that may not have an open foster. We have helped over 161 + animals from stray holds, owner surrenders, abandoned animals, and owner returns in the short time we have been open. This is crazy that most of these were from October, 2021 to May 23rd, 2022. We still have 6 dog fosters that we are actively looking into permanent rescue placement for and 0 cats as of the end of last month. We have multiple rescues actively looking for an open foster to accept or even some adopters/foster to adopts for our remaining pooches.

Our director as you know has been the main caregiver for everyone and he unfortunately can’t financially care for his animals and the addition of his fosters. He has taken on quite a bit of extra veterinary/food/housing debt to care for the animals in need. This totals approximately $4,000 in veterinary debt on his carecredit card that hasn’t been covered by donations that have been received. We have tried many avenues to fundraise the funds and that has unfortunately failed.

Once the remaining 5 dog fosters are out of our directors home we will be closing our doors permanently and will no longer be providing any support for new animals. We will continue to provide support for previous fosters as we have promised to always care for them.

Most of the fosters were transferred to permanent rescues that adopted our fosters out and in return received an adoption fee which allowed them to replenish their funds. If you could find it in your heart to donate even $5 to assist our director in alleviating the mounding veterinary debt we would be eternally grateful.

Mr. Dog will be going to live out his remaining days with the wonderful Dogtree Pines: Senior Dog Sanctuary that has graciously opened their doors to him.

We went back and forth whether to post about one of our fosters due to his condition and the fact that we have haters that feel the need to report us to Pima Animal Care Center every time they feel an animal is in ”danger” or “worrisome”. We received confirmation that no matter what we do they will report us to Pima Animal Care Center animal control officers as if they have nothing better to do then to come out everyday or week to check on us. None the less we have chosen to share an update on our sweet Dog.

Dog has always been on the skinnier side and recently we noticed that Dog had become quite skinny (per the photo). We immediately jumped into action adding in supplements, wet food, and contacting our vet for their assistance. Within this time frame Dog started having liquid diarrhea and would inconsistently throw up that previously wasn’t occurring. Our vet got us in the same week and after bloodwork, urinalysis, f***l test, and x-rays everything came back pretty normal. The vet and us were stumped, however the vet feels that Dog may have cancer based on their experience. They provided us medication and instructed us that if he continues throwing up and having liquid diarrhea that it may be a good idea to euthanize him for quality of life.

We switched our game plan at home and followed all recommendations from the vet. We monitored what Dog ate and limited his food to what the vet instructed us to feed him. As of today we have not had throw up nor has he had any liquid diarrhea. We are hoping that whatever is happening is passing and isn’t cancer.

We ask for your prayers and thoughts as we work through Dogs’ unknown medical issues and get him back into good health.

While we are still trying to raise $775 for past vet bills, we now need your help raising funds to cover Dogs’ vet visit.

Our donation link is in our bio and any amount is appreciated for our foster animals.

We have wonderful news for everyone. We have been posting Levy all over social media to find her a permanent rescue and unfortunately everyone has been full.

A kind samaritan reached out to see if they’d be allowed to foster to adopt her as she still needs to be spayed. We have never done FTA, however we had them sign a FTA Contract and arranged for a weekend sleep over encase something happened. Within hours we were told she made herself right at home and is in love with her potential new daddy.

We are so happy this all worked out for Levy and her potential new dad. Please pray that everything continues to go well as we await her spay appointment.

If you’d like to donate our donation link is in our bio and we’d love everyone support. 😊

Below are just a handful of the bills we’ve incurred going back to 2019. Our Director went through every single avenue a donation was sent and if it was sent “goods and services” deducting 20% for taxes. The total number of donation money comes to just shy of $1.7k compared to the $5.5k+ that has been spent on rescue animals.

If you’d like to donate towards our foster animals our donation link is in our bio and every single cent (20% less if good and services) is used for the foster animals.

We want to stay open and without community help we will have to pull back on the assistance we offer or turn people in need away.

A foolish mans dream

After joining many rescues starting in 2018 I had a dream of eventually starting my own. I know that in my area there are hundreds of rescues with one goal in mind and that's to save as many animals as they can and find them fur-ever homes. My dream is to one day open my own sanctuary with many different programs offered one of them being free spay/neuter with no catches or extreme requirements. By selling T-shirts on Teespring.com we hope to raise enough money to have these programs become self funding with your support. We start out small, but eventually the dream is to become as large as Frosted Faces Foundation in California!
