Congratulations to Paige Mitchell and Amber Walker on their first Northern Illinois Hunter Jumper Association show! Here are a couple of highlights from the weekend:

Amber and Lady received scores of 71 and 75 in the Ground Poles Equitation Classic, earning them a 4th place, and a great Equitation flat class earning the team a 3rd place.

Paige went clear in her first Low Jumper round with Jack, and received a 2nd place in the Adult Amateur Equitation flat, earning her a reserve champion in the division!

Jack and I earned a reserve champion in the Training Jumper division!

Team Blue Chip Equestrian learned a lot over the weekend, and we are thankful to Victorious Farm for putting on a great show at Ledges.

Audrey and Bridget, both students of BCE, did a Halloween ride last night in costumes! Nemo’s costume was even made by Bridget’s Grandma!

Congratulations to Viviana Helwig on her purchase of Nasim! Viviana has been working very hard with Nasim over the last year while she was leasing her, and I can’t wait to see how much they progress together in the coming years!

A lot of my students will hear me say “one more time.” This isn’t because I want you to get it perfect, but because I want you to end on a good note with your horse!

It is so important for you and your horse to end your ride in a positive mindset. You both will come to your next ride excited to work. You can then set realistic goals, and achieve them!

Paige Mitchell has been learning to jump with BCE on her horse Kaylee for the last year. Today she got to show off what she has learned with the Morgan Breed Demonstration at the Midwest Horse Fair. She will be riding again tomorrow at 4:10 PM in the HW Brand Arena (Pavilion 2)!
