Over 12 years ago I dedicated my time 100 % to Pet dog training… in order to reach and be beneficial to my target audience I totally got rid of all the dog training slang…

So when I say “ it smells there” and Lauren say ”the bench is trapping odor” we see and mean absolutely same thing 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Our beloved Bubba crossed the rainbow bridge today.
He was part of our service dog program and lived a wonderful life with his family.
He will be greatly missed 💔💔💔 by all of us!

Some dogs need a lot of external pressure to succeed, but others need to create a vacuum of space to fill it with positive, valuable behaviors.

Life is a balance of opposing forces. The opposite of pressure is a vacuum.

Some dogs need to be heavily regulated by boundaries, routines, and expectations, while others need to be quiet and free of all outside pressures to make room to grow.

The last two dogs I trained, Blueberry and Aaliyah, were those complete opposites. Blueberry required pressure and Aaliyah needed a vacuum.

The initial family Presentation of problems and Results of board and train look the same for both dogs, but the paths to get there were totally different.

I often see young dogs being overwhelmed with “fun” by their owners.

Play, interact, let me touch you, and let's go—nonstop.

Go. Do. Accept—all the time.

By doing so, you are consistently spreading their nervous system thin, creating a full range of behavioral problems in the future, from wanting to be left alone to resource guarding and reactivity.

Quality over Quantity.

Balance over Crazy.

Working around the easy-going, well-mannered dogs favors the earlier insecure reactive pups. Umka and Klëpa do teach them the ropes and provide peaceful mind atmosphere in between real-world encounters, which could be iffy at times

Murphy can relax and get along with a constantly changing life. It is not easy for him with this particular deck of cards handed at birth.

With every German Shepherd going through my program in the past five years, I lose more and more faith in the breed's future.

In the sports world, I still meet some of them that I like, but as a pet trainer, there is no more tremendous professional disappointment. At least I understand why doodles are my number one client in numbers, but German Shepherds - it's a sad, most problematic second. 💔🐾

I loved that dog. As a dog trainer or any other animal professional, you usually don’t lose dogs or other animals when they actually die; you lose and mourn them when you know you will never see their parents again.

When I first met Toby, I would never have imagined him doing this voluntarily. It might not look much to you, but this is Mount Everest for this dog! Tian Xie, you have accomplished an incredible job getting this pup out of his shell. I’m so proud of both of you!!!

You know how I always say that I haven’t used e-collars at all for pet dogs until about 6-7 years ago? That’s about time when I thought technology got finally good enough for this tool to be useful for pet owners. And I never looked back since. This video just popped up as an eight-year-old memory and you’re looking at my personal last generation of off leash trained dogs without it. Zelda and Max in the distraction handling class. Between Max and Zelda there is about a year and a half difference in age and training time so he is still on the long line. It used to take 2-3 years of consistent work to get the same results as you can get in several weeks now.

This required some serious clicker shaping… she is a chewer and hates holding anything in her mouth without chewing it. So, the most challenging part is achieved, and now we have to work duration and put it on the move.
