As you may have heard, there are many reports of a respiratory illness in dogs across the nation. We are keeping up to date with any information that is provided. Keep in mind potential exposure issues such as dog parks or any where large numbers of dogs may be present. Try to minimize these exposures until we have a better idea of the cause. Thank you.

Friendly reminder that fireworks begin tomorrow, June 27th, in the Wichita area.

All pets should be wearing identification tags and microchip information should be updated. More pets are lost during this holiday than any other time of year!

If your furry kiddos are afraid of the BIG BOOMS, give us a call! We will do our best to get you some medication to get them through this time. (Patient must have been seen in the last 12 months by Dr. Bayliff)

In order to give employees some down time, we will be taking a long weekend each month this spring and summer. This means one weekend a month we will close early on Friday at noon and reopen the following Monday. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope you understand the reasons this needs to be implemented. Tomorrow, April 28th will be the first of these mental break weekends. The three day weekend for May will be the long Memorial Day weekend and we will be here all day the previous Friday. June will be the weekend of the 23rd, July the weekend of the 28th, and August to be determined. Thanks again for your understanding.

FOUND PUPPY!!!

A client of ours found this sweet little baby in their neighborhood last night. She was found around 37th and Rock Rd. in the Willowbend neighborhood. Approximately 10 week old female, no microchip or collar. Finder put pink collar on her.

Last Saturday, we held our clinic Chistmas party at Let's Smash in Delano! 🎄

The smash room was a perfect stress outlet and we had SO much fun!! 🔨

The protective outfits were just SOOO fashionable and gave us quite the laugh! 🤓🤣

HAPPY VET TECH WEEK! 🥳

Vet Tech week is a favorite holiday among those in veterinary medicine! We get to set some time aside to really show appreciation to our technicians and support staff for all that they do. 💜

Did you know we have THREE credentialed technicians at ECVH?

That is incredible for a smaller practice! We also have one amazing receptionist, and two fabulous veterinary assistants on our team! (You all already know about our awesome doc! 😉)

Things to remember about credentialed technicians:

🐾They have an Associate's degree, with potential to earn a Bachelor's degree
🐾They have completed hands on training as outlined by the AVMA
🐾They have passed a national board exam
🐾They are required to complete Continuing Education every year
🐾They are absolutely vital to veterinary medicine

ECVH is proud to accept and teach externship students from the WSU Tech Veterinary Technology program to help our profession grow! 💉🩺🔬💊

Veterinary medicine (along with everything else) took a big hit with COVID, but we are glad to be on the up and up! Vet Tech week is an opportunity to step back and appreciate each other and reignite our passions! 🐶🐱
