Please support the amazing work that Squirrel Rescue & Rehab Western Cape does - any contributions towards the medical care needed for these little ones would be greatly appreciated. 🐿

Yesterday these four beautiful girls came in from Somerset West. They were found while felling a tree. On intake, they seemed slightly dehydrated and we had to assume mom had not been around for a while.

Unfortunately today two of the girls started to show symptoms of secondary poisoning (drinking on mom while she had poison in her system). All four babies are currently receiving medical attention. Mom also hasn't shown up on the property since Thursday afternoon.

We'd appreciate any contribution to their medical care.

To top it off, I've been struggling so much with Pudo since their software upgrade and getting deliveries out has been quite the challenge. 🤪

But I'm getting there! I'm delivering personally where I can and making alternative arrangements where needed.

I've got BIG news! 👇🏻

Earlier this year, I embarked on a new journey as a Property Manager for an Airbnb agency, and it has truly changed my life! I’ve fallen in love with this exciting industry, and it’s been an incredible experience managing beautiful properties and ensuring guests have the best stays possible.

While Hyggelig Pet Products is my passion, it’s not my only commitment. I’m also deeply passionate about my work as a Property Manager, and last week, I was offered an amazing opportunity for growth. My portfolio has expanded, and I’ll be managing even more homes—a challenge I’m thrilled to take on! However, this means I’ll need to dedicate more of my time to this role.

That said, Hyggelig is still very close to my heart, and I’m committed to continuing to provide you and your furry friends with the products you love. To do this effectively, I’ll be streamlining our range to focus mainly on our popular food and enrichment mixes, with a special emphasis on the CritterBox and CritterCombo Hampers.

I would really appreciate your understanding and patience as I adjust my schedule to cater to both effectively. I’m working hard to ensure that neither Hyggelig nor my job is affected by these changes, and I’m confident that with your support, we’ll continue to grow together!

Happy Spring, everyone! 🌸

Can you believe September is already here?
The month greeted us with a beautiful, sunny morning, and it feels like a fresh start!

The last week of August was a whirlwind! I’ve sent out a few Critterboxes and have more heading out on Monday, along with other exciting orders. 🥳

Just a friendly reminder—in the spirit of "Healthy Mind, Healthy Life"—I do my best to respond to emails and messages during my regular work hours.

I’ve learned the hard way that being available 24/7 can take a toll, so I make sure to step away in the evenings and over the weekends to recharge.

My usual work hours are:
Monday - Friday: 9am - 4pm 🩷💜

Did you know your bunny's teeth never stop growing? 🐰

Bunnies' teeth continuously grow, not just the front ones (incisors) but also the back teeth (molars). The back teeth can develop spurs—sideways spikes that pierce the tongue and cause significant discomfort.

While a proper diet is key to good dental health, it’s not only the chewing of rough hay and sticks that helps naturally grind down their teeth. Fresh grass and veggies contain silica, which helps with this process. The importance of fresh grass in a bunny’s diet is often understated. Genetics can also play a role in dental issues, and some bunnies may require frequent, costly treatment. Regular vet check-ups are crucial to monitor and manage your bunny’s teeth.

Here are five symptoms that may indicate dental problems:

1. Gunky eyes: Excessive tearing or discharge 👁️
2. Drooling: Unusual drool or a wet chin 💧
3. Difficulty eating: Reluctance to eat or changes in chewing habits 🥕
