HOLISTIC VETERINARIAN
Dr Jimmy Symmonds Bsc BVSc
Jimmy graduated with a BSc in Zoology from the University of Cape Town, and then qualified in Veterinary Medicine at Onderstepoort, Pretoria. In 1997 he moved to the UK where he undertook further training in Veterinary Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. After an initial period in conventional veterinary practice, Jimmy established a referral veterinary practice in Oxford, UK, offering herbal medicine and acupuncture to cats and dogs. While in the UK Jimmy also co-founded Integrate CPD (a company providing training for vets in Herbal Medicine) and the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists (BAVH) – representing vets in the UK trained in the use of herbal medicines. In 2008, Jimmy returned to Cape Town where he was born.
