Hi Community!!

We are positing on behalf of an owner who is moving interstate and is unfortunately unable to take her lovely cat due to unforeseen circumstances.

She is a Ragdoll x Siamese mix with a beautiful nature 🐈

When she was adopted, the RSPCA reccomended that she live in a single cat household and would be suited to living with teenagers/adults. No young children.

If you are looking for a new companion and would meet this criteria we would love to hear from you 📞

Blizzard came to visit us today for a dental scale and polish procedure which included removing a few teeth that were causing some discomfort 🦷

Blizzard made sure not to shy away from a good bum scratch and head bumps even after her procedure! She is such a lovely girl! 🐈🥰

HYDROBATHS ARE BACK! 🛁🐶

We know a lot of you have been eagerly waiting for hydrobaths to come back after a long 6 months of renovations.

Please welcome the lovely Abby who will be your new friendly face hydrobathing every Saturday. If you would like to book in please give us a call on 3379 9260.

Please note hydrobaths are now $15 per dog.

11 year old Barney the Golden Retriever visited us yesterday to have a routine dental procedure done, however, during his stay we were concerned about his breathing rate.

To take all precautions before undertaking an anaesthetic, we performed chest X-rays to ensure Barney was in good health ✅

Barney surprised us all with how much of a good boy he is! You would look at these photos and think hmm he must have had some sedation for us to do this?! NOPE! Barney was so relaxed having a head scratch, pedicure and X-rays taken that he was falling asleep! 😴💤

Barney is the definition of a good boy. 🦮💜

Last night the team ventured out for our Christmas party to enjoy a yummy Italian dinner at Popolo in Southbank followed by some delicious Gelato.🎄

We are missing a few members of the team but we did have a surprise guest. Madi who was one of our awesome vet nurses was visiting family on the Sunshine Coast from Victoria. She made the journey down to Brissy for the day to check out the new clinic and spend time with her old work crew. We all had a great night! 🥰🍕🍝🥂

Welcome to our new home! Back on Honour ave 🎉

There is still lots to do but we are so happy that we can share this space with you all finally!

Our X-ray machine and anaesthetic machines are awaiting further servicing & certification before we can use them. We want to make sure all equipment is working safely before we start using it.
For those on the surgery wait list, we will be in touch once all anaesthetic servicing is complete.

Once we are all settled in, we will have an open day! You will be able to walk through the clinic and see how beautiful our new home is. There will be lots of free goodies, giveaway hampers and more! Stay tuned for a date annoucement.

Thank you for all of your patience over the last 6 months! We hope to see you and your fur babies soon.

Please note that we are CLOSED this Thursday 30th to move.

The clinic will open in the new facility 8am on Friday the 1st of December. If you are on the surgery wait list please know that we will begin the calling process once we have settled in 🙂

Job Ad: Saturday Hydrobather 🛁🐶

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Saturday hydrobather to join our team at Chelmer Graceville Vet. As our superstar Hydrobather, you will be responsible for performing a thorough bath and towel dry for our clients fur babies, as well as ensuring the hydrobath and laundry space are left clean and tidy during and at the end of the day. This position is specifically for Saturdays 8:00am-12:40pm. Each dog is booked for a 20 minute appointment.

Responsibilities:
- Bathe and towel dry animals thoroughly.
- Use appropriate shampoos and conditioners at the request of the owner.
- Safely handle animals during the bathing process, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and equipment.

Requirements:
- Able to handle animals with patience and care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Availability to work every Saturday (Having a day off is granted as needed).

Benefits:

Farewell Caitlin! 🥲

The lovely Caitlin has been bathing dogs every Saturday in our community for the last 5 years 🐶

The time has come where Caitlin now moves on. She has recently finished her university degree which is very exciting. We wish her all the best wherever her career takes her.

Thank you for all your kindness and care over the years! We will miss you.

With a predominately female team, the women of the Chelmer Graceville vet team are walking 4km a day in November to raise money and awareness for women suffering with ovarian cancer.

🔵 1 Australian woman dies from ovarian cancer every 8 hours.
🔵 There is no early detection test for ovarian cancer
🔵 70% of women diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer will have a recurrence within 3 years.
🔵 With a 5-year survival rate of only 49% survival rate, ovarian cancer is Australia's deadliest female cancer.

Meet Bonnie or Princess Bonnie as we call her 👑

Bonnie is a 12 year old Pug, she comes in every 3 weeks for allergy injections, always with a smile on her face.

She continues to always be a pleasure to see and we look forward to seeing her for her 3 weekly visits! 💖🤩

⭐️Dr Antonia will be here every second Tuesday for now starting next Tuesday.

⭐️ Dr Meg is back every Monday, Thursday and Friday

We are so happy to have them back, our lovely vet team is full again. 💕

Mango is a 14 year old Labrador. He came for a visit today for his monthly arthritis injection.
He is such a beautiful & loving oldie that we couldn’t resist getting a cute snap of him. The scales were clearly a nice place for a rest! 😂

Daisy was thrilled to introduce us to her new brother Milo and they were both very brave and enjoyed all the cuddles at their visit!
