💙 Beautiful senior lady; 15 years old 💙

Meet sweet Maribella! She is a nice chunky girl and her age doesn’t stop her from roaming around the house looking for a bite to eat or a human to cuddle up to. She is blessed with a beautiful black/brown coat which requires minimal brushing but she still very much enjoys a daily groom. Her eyes are a little cloudy but the vet says it’s due to her age and she can still see perfectly well!

Maribella doesn’t mind other cats but is also content being alone so she will suit a house either as a single cat or a home with other cats that won’t mind that she doesn’t play with them.

Maribella is best suited to a home with children who know how to be gentle and understand that Maribella may not want to play and run around. She is untested with dogs.

This sweet girl is seeking a home to live out her golden years laying in a sun patch and getting cuddles.

A big THANK YOU to for this amazing donation of cat food and cat treats for our kitties in foster care.

ARC distributes vital food and medical support to animals and rescuers that support them. This month alone ARC have donated over 100 pallets of premium food. ARC volunteers work tirelessly with Petbarn Foundation and major vendor partners to source supplies before they go to waste and recover these into their national foodbank network!

The sad reality is that without additional foster carers, we are unable to provide care to these dogs in need.

Cherry, a 9 1/2 -year-old sweetheart, needs a new foster home ASAP.
Currently in Bunbury as a permanent SAFE Goldfields foster dog, she needs to move due to her carer’s health issues. Ideally, Cherry would be in a home without other dogs, as she’s become a bit grumpy in her old age. She’s best suited for an older couple or family in the Bunbury area or nearby.

Q-Tip is such a darling little girl. She loves to curl up on a warm lap after dinner. She is a very happy girl with a lovely purr and will happily chase a ball around or jump at any dangly toy. She is very clean and tidy with her litter tray. Q-Tip isn't a fan of being picked up suddenly, so may not suit small children.

Peach is a delight. She's soft, floppy and cuddly. She would suit a family environment and with someone around lots as she loves playing and interacting with her people. She loves other dogs, too. She's intelligent and listens when asked to do or not do something. Toilet training is a work in progress but she wants to please her people so should be a quick learner.

A good girl overnight, Peach sleeps beside her carer's bed with no fuss.

Peach's lucky new family will be committed to her ongoing training as well as age appropriate exercise and socialisation with new dogs, people and situations.

Dolly is a super affectionate, lovely kitty who demands snuggles from you, and loves kisses and smooches. She is great with little kids and can share her space with other cats with no issues. Our Story

SAFE Bunbury began in 2008 as SAFE Southwest.

SAFE Bunbury run solely as a Foster Care Model and does not have a shelter facility!

SAFE has grown to include twelve 11 subsidiary branches across Western Australia and is now the WA arm of Animal Welfare League Australia (AWLA). We also work alongside other animal rescue organisations for the direct benefit of animals.

Adoption of the dogs and cats in our care is made possible through local community support and advertising campaigns thus avoiding euthanasia for healthy, rehomable animals. We work collaboratively with local government and vets to microchip, treat health conditions and sterilise animals in our care.
