Did you know that our pets are classified as “senior” earlier than we may think 🤔?
As our pets age it’s important to support their health with regular health check ups.
If you have a senior pet, watch out for:
👵🏼 stiffness walking around
🧓clouding of the eyes
👵🏼loss of hearing
🧓incontinence
👵🏼unexpected weight changes
🧓lumps and bumps
👵🏼smelly breath
If your pet is showing any of the above signs, or they haven’t had a checkup in a while, talk to our team ❤️

Did you know that our squishy faced friends (brachycephalic breeds) require extra attention when having a general anaesthetic. This is due to their shortened muzzle and flat faced structure. At Kingston some of the extra care we provide is pre-oxygenating our patients prior to surgery, and close monitoring post operatively to make sure they are up and about and breathing normally before the “breathing tube” is removed. Like all of our patients we take extra care and precautions when a patient is going under a general anaesthetic BUT these guys just require that extra bit of TLC.
