This week we said farewell to our Queen of Middle Brighton Vet Centre. Dr Anna has been the driving force and back bone of the clinic. Her intelligence, compassion, and attention to detail has raised MBVC’s standards over the years turning it into one of the best veterinary general practices in Melbourne. Anna we thank you for your dedication to not just our practice and patients, but the entire vet industry. May you retire happily, knowing you have made a huge difference to many lives both four legged and two legged. Thank you and we wish you all the best with the future.

Our brave patient had a fall from the cupboard and fractured her right front leg. We’ve transferred her to for a potential surgery. She’s been so brave and is on the road to recovery! ❤️‍🩹 🐾

Wonderful Puppy School Graduation last week at Sillitoe Reserve on Ludstone Street.

We had Ellie the Groodle, Ezra a Border Collie cross, Freddie the Cocker Spaniel, Murphy the Aussie Shepherd and Jolly Roger, a little Staffy

Lots of fun,laughter and learning for us all.

These two little bunnies are lost. 😞

They were found together in a backyard in Brighton.

They have been missing for over a week as it’s taken that long for them to be handled enough to be brought into the clinic.

They are both well and looking forward to going back home 🐰🐰

We had the most wonderful time on Tuesday evening for our Puppy Preschool Graduation.

We gathered at Lucas Street Reserve which is a quiet on leash park great for young pups venturing out for the first few times which can be a challenging place for young puppies.

We practiced the key life skill of coming back when called.

The most important step is setting your pup up for success - so we put them on a long lead, gave them the space they needed away from distractions (ie other pups) to concentrate on the task at hand. Then treats, praise and repetition - and slowly raise the bar and introduce distractions at the pace that suits the pup.

🎓 marvelous Miss Maple - a delightful cavoodle - also challenging to get a photo
🎓and Winnie the wonderful airedale phased by modeling for a photo or two!

Unfortunately our other Cavoodle, Bear was unable to attend the party.
