This handsome boy Teddy was in yesterday for his last puppy vaccination protecting him against Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus as well as Kennel Cough 💉🐾

Tips for keeping your pets cool this summer ☀️(forecasted even hotter weather today) 🔥

💧Provide access to fresh water daily (multiple bowls)
⛱️Ensure adequate shade is available outside, otherwise where possible bring your pet inside
*🛁*When supervised*, access to a small/shell pool (see photo)
🧊Freezing treats and water to make ice blocks
🪭Bringing your pet indoors under air conditioning/fans
❌🦮 No walking pets during the day (either early morning or late at night), as hot payments can burn their paw pads
🚗 Never leave your pet inside your car, EVER, even for a “short time”

Symptoms of heat stroke include:
Breathing distress, increased heart rate, drooling/salivating, bright red gums/tongue, staggering, collapsing, lethargy, seizures.

If you notice these signs, remove your pet from the heat and call your nearest vet clinic or if is an after hours emergency, please call ARH, SASH or VSOS (24 hour emergency clinics).

Did you know that heartworm cases are on the rise in Sydney?? Luckily for these 3 (Georgy, Phoenix and Fox); they are all protected for the year after their Proheart injection ❤️🪱💉

Heartworm isn’t an intestinal worm, it is spread through mosquito bites and unfortunately is quite fatal if your fur baby contracts it 🦟
Symptoms don’t show until the disease has progressed severely therefore prevention is critical!!💉
