Meet Howl, the 10-month-old cat who was brought to Nepean Animal Hospital due to acute vomiting. After conducting an ultrasound and X-ray examination, we discovered foreign bodies in his stomach and decided to perform an endoscopy.
During the procedure, we successfully removed numerous hard leaves from Howl’s stomach using an endoscope. Thankfully, this minimally invasive approach spared him from undergoing major surgery.
Endoscopy is a non-invasive surgical method that effectively removes foreign bodies and provides diagnostic insights into the gastrointestinal tract of both cats and dogs. Not only does it ensure a swift recovery, but the patient can also be discharged and sent home on the same day.
